Why are these not for sale on GL

My HMMWV has valid VA title and has been inspected by VA DMV/State Police in regards to safety...and issues a unique R coded VIN (like a homemade chopper or kitcar). ANY HMMWV you buy out of the US will have to go trhough US customs and be rejected. You will NEVER be able to IMPORT one as a...

    Another Runflat Question

You should not put radials on 8 bolt rims-it has to do with the clamping force required (36" tires go on 8 lug and 37 inch tires go on 12 bolt) I have seen it done for trail use only. I cut down both my rubber and magnesium runflats to just retain the beadlock function. I prefer one piece...

Everyone has their "thing(s)"...whether it's MV's, cars, houses, kids, chess, boats, sports, knitting, online gaming, woodworking ect...I can appreciate quality work in just about everything-even if I have no interest in it. Can you jump start a Deuce with 12 v?

That is what I am installing right now to jump off my HMMWV. (NATO style) I have used one set of jumper cables to charge (jump charge as mentioned above) both batteries (not jump start)...you just wire the bateries in parallel instead of in series using the existing cables. This way you do...

Commonwealth of Virginia - trip permit question

The VA trip permit allows you to transport a vehicle ending up in VA by a VA resident-it will do you no good if you are not a Virginia resident or the vehicle is not ending up in VA. if I print a VA trip permit in NY and drive a vehicle to my house in VA-the permit is valid through all states...

I did not get my SF-97: They sent me a title

Here is another thing to consider...maybe not so much with the M35's, but the HMMWV's I have bought and sold: The SF-97 proves legal transfer from the government to a civilian entity. I would keep a copy of any SF-97 even though the DMV takes the original-its another proof of...

I did not get my SF-97: They sent me a title

Just posting a FYI: Paid the $60 SF-97 fee and govliq simply sent me a FLORIDA title hand signed over to me with address, info and sale price filled out. That should save me some potential hassle at the DMV. Came in about 2-3 weeks from the time the online form was filled out.

He he..."aircraft alloy" "6061 alloy is an extremely common modern aluminum alloy. It has good strength, it is easily machined, and it resists corrosion. It is also lower cost than most other alloys. Due to these factors it is extremely popular for aftermarket parts used in motorcycles. If you...
