I need an enclosed trailer to tow behind my Deuce

You might want to consider an M200A1 generator trailer. It's got a lower frame than the M105 and comes with dual wheels. If you are just putting a box on it, it would be fine. But I wouldn't put a vehicle on an M200A1 or an M105. I mounted a Unimog radio box on an M105 and it was top heavy...

I need an enclosed trailer to tow behind my Deuce

If you are going to modify an M105 trailer, remember the height of the frame is about 33" off the ground and is somewhat narrow. Putting a vehicle it may make it somewhat top heavy and dangerous. How about looking for an M1061 trailer? They're 14' long and have a 5 ton payload. Some of them...

I need an enclosed trailer to tow behind my Deuce

With my trailer, you could put an S280 shelter on it and still have room for a vehicle behind it.

I need an enclosed trailer to tow behind my Deuce

I'm selling a military open deck trailer that you could easily put an enclosure on. It's 28' long, including the beaver tail. I'd really like to sell it since I have nothing to tow it with. Click on the classified link: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/vbclassified.php?do=ad&id=207 --

    Reasonable? Realistic? or not?

The average price for a Mite is between $5-7K. A restored Mite will get upwards of $12K. As far as popularity, I disagree with SETOYOTA. Everywhere I take my Mite, it's very popular, especially with MV owners. I tried driving my Mite on three wheels but I think the M422A1 is not balanced to...

This one goes out to the newer guys looking for their first deuce...

Just adding my 2 cents: I've purchased an M1009 and an M35A2 from Bruce Kubu. I spent much more on the M1009 than what most private sellers were asking. However, I got the peace of mind knowing that the truck had been gone through, fixed up and it came with a title. Bruce did all the work of...

    Towing a Mite?

Flat towing a Mite? NO WAY! I've always trailered mine and since it is under 1,800 lbs, you don't need a big trailer. In fact, I am selling the trailer I use for my Mite. It's listed in the classifieds and located in NJ.

    Can't Jump My M1009

Check your starter. If you are only getting a click when you turn the key, good chances the starter is bad.

    12V Starter on M1008

I've run both the 24V and 12V starters in my M1009. The 12V will spin faster and wear out faster. You won't fry it on 24 volts. Just be careful when starting more than once. Make sure it stops spinning before you turn the key again. I've broken teeth off of a 12V starter that way. If you...

    Picked up my first M1009

I usually stay in southern Monmouth County or near Bordentown when I am in NJ. Next time you are in this area, give me a shout. I've had my M1009 for a couple years now and I have been quite pleased with it.

    Picked up my first M1009

Congrats on the M1009! Let me know if you need any help at Bordentown. I occasionally live about three miles from there. By the way, Lakehurst is about twenty miles from the beach and is actually in the Pine Barrens. The grass and sugar sand is typical of the Pines. MP

    Remembering members

How about a simple page with some pictures and a description of each person whom we have lost?

    Remembering members

I made the same suggestion a few months ago when Bruce Kalin passed but got no word from the administrators. There was even a thread started. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?t=25360 It would be nice to have a page somewhere.

    M211 and parts for sale

Ernie, I've got a buddy who I am storing some M211 stuff for at my home in Nevada. I've emailed him to see what he needs. Can you email me some pictures and if anything is worth looking at, I will come down. I wish I knew you were selling this stuff last week. I was in Blackwood. Does the...

Yes I searched the archives. I want to know where to buy the Wellman 070 glow plugs. My auto parts supplier said he can't get them. Websites? Dealers in NJ?

I need an engine moved from FL to CO.

MADSAM: I'll be going to Colorado Springs at the end of May. If you want to get your engine up to NJ (where I am now) or anywhere along I-40 or I-70, I could take it the rest of the way. Fuel money is what I usually charge, plus a little for my time. WOODWALKER: How are things in Colorado...
