well Ive had a fuel leak at or around the head that has finally crippled the truck. at first the leak started as an annoyance and could possibly be the culprit behind my hard start issues but more recently i was using it to move myself out of my apartment (and for a number of reasons i had short...
the dog components are cast and though they are quite beefy i can see how they would be easily damaged through miss use over time (and quite frankly these trucks weren't always treated with due care while in service). engaged all the way its definitely not the weak link in the system but its...
did similar with mine a few weeks back (lights in the bed only) but i just used two 12volt inverters and balanced the load on each, one inverter hooked to each battery, wasn't ideal but worked great.
looks like a small CO2 cylinder on a bracket. first thought was spare for some type of fire extinguisher but the bracket is kinda strange too. what is it for?
im gonna have to run to napa and get a new indicator light for the blinkers to test that theory. it was way too bright and i pulled it out last week, needless to say the bulb broke. i know the blinkers worked after that tho.
i wouldn't recommend driving it, my experience proved its better to have it towed. consider when you get there you may need a number of parts (brake parts, fluids, belts, batteries) just to get it moving and then you still have to contend with the winter weather. some parts can be had at a local...

the problem is i noticed today i have no hazards or turn signals. i read to check ground ect and i will when i get home but the truck is...
well a quick update, today was back into the mid 30's so for kicks i hit the either to see if it worked and sure enough it did so it would seem it must have been clogged or something.
im familiar with the sensor in question (pick up for the temp gauge, i am curious as to why i could hear the actuation of the solenoid when i checked it (warmer weather, 40's) but no either.
if it is the case that the either will not work above 30 and im having hard starts above 30 i might have...
unfortunately i ran into the problem of self recovery, backing up was not an option or else the winch would not have been needed. i might take a layer off the drum and cut the cable shorter to help in the future.
last night was interesting, my horn died but my either assist started working, i doubt there is a connection of course.
the horn i will check on a warm day but i imagine maybe frozen condensation in the solenoid.
the either is interesting, i have had rough starts below ~35 degrees, usually it...
