In my experience, with the exception of COTS parts, its easiest just to go straight to the manufacturer of the part. For example, all of the CTIS parts are still available from Dana/ Eaton if you're willing to pay for them. Heck, the Military Sustainment rep sent me the Bill of Materials for...
I had a solargizer on the M35A2 that I had, which was great until the solar panel died. I switched it over to a trimable 24V, 50W (2A limit) power supply to do the same job. Much more reliable, but it means you have to remember to unplug it before you leave.
That sure looks like it put a hurtin' on somebody. Glad that you are okay. You are sure that your stop/turns were active and working, right? I know that it can be easy to forget to turn them on if you're in a hurry.
E85 will probably not work in a deuce in any appreciable quantity. Its effective octane is so high (100+) that its doubtful that it would reliably ignite in the chamber. The high octane is why people with turbo-powered cars can tune for it and make more power than on 93 octane.
As was already...
Not always. If you're simply heating the cab, recirculating the air works very well. On the other hand, if you're to defrost you are better off using the outside air, as the humidity is likely lower.
I'm putting a defroster in mine for sure. I don't mind the cab being cold, but I can't stand the windshield icing over. Going to use a heater core from the boneyard and two 12V fans wired in series. I'll be surprised if I continue to have issues with windshield icing after that.
As for...
Different sizes won't hurt and air-shift case, but could cause worlds of trouble for a sprag case.
Also, I put 14.50s on the front of my deuce with dual 11.00s in the rear (just like m1075's setup was) and I really like it. The A3 wheels and tires up front makes steering easier I think, and...
I'm getting the set because all of the seals are rock hard. If I'm going to be working on the IP at all, I'm going to make sure that not only does it keep fuel in, but keeps water and other junk out.
Hi all,
I've been looking for a rebuild/ gasket kit for the LDT's injection pump. Saturn surplus appears to be out of stock, and I haven't been able to find them anywhere else. The IP is leaking like a sieve and with diesel at $4 I'd really like to get it fixed.
TIA,
