    I would also check the fluid for water, is it milky? if so it could have froze and caused some issues with the pump and control . how is the filter, does the pump sound winey when engaged, could be starving for oil.

    I have had good luck with brazing cast. same prep procedure as above. I also have used JB Weld on a jacket leak with good results. Just keep in mind not to drive out side your "safety zone" you know farther than a buddy is willing to go to tow you home in case of a failure.

    Bondo thickness

    You could smoothe a thin layer of JB weld over it. When i was a kid and did not know better, I would use as much as it took to fill the hole! It always cracked and i would just put more in. Up here in the rust belt we have Stock in Bondo.

    Dump it in and drive (as long as it is clear) My mercedes recommends 50% Kerosene below 0. 5 gal is only 10% + - I put 5 gal of nasty root beer colord gasoline in my Deuce and did not even notice any changes.

    I have found some filter bags used to filter WVO at McMaster Carr. The first is 25 micron, the second is 5 Micron, and the final is a 1 micron. A guy at work told me about them. He has been using them for hundreds of gallons of fuel. I think one set is about 10 bucks.
