They are not cheap, even if you could adapt it to fit. I just had to repair the one on the Cummins in my International. A reman'd unit was between $600 to $900. Plus you have the $300 to $400 core charge. Then you have all the work as far as putting in all the air lines and a...
Close, just want to correct one thing. Most states don't have a state level fuel decal. Right now I only know of NC having one. Don't know of any other states as anal as they are. The reason most states don't have a state level fuel decal for those that keep their vehicle within the state is...
Yep, makes sense. :) Was just wondering anyhow as I remember you mentioned you were going to bob one of them. Didn't know if this was the one or not. I'm thinking of going up one more notch on my truck. The pisser is the next level is an aditional $300 a year. :(

Is this for the one you plan on bobbing? If not you better be careful that you don't get caught exceeding 15,000 pounds since the truck's empty weight is not much below that. I know with my semi truck the GVW includes the weight of the trailer but I don't know if that also applies to cargo...
What weight did you get your tags for? I tried to get the Air Force tag for my semi truck but the computer would not let me. I was stuck with a regular tag. But I'm tagged to 43,999 pounds. How much weight did you register to?

I would love to know why it wasn't picked up the first time. Plus did the winning bidder back then have to pay a fee to GL for not getting it. If so that had to hurt. :)

IFTA is not so much about what your state says but what the states around you say. The key issue is where will you be driving your truck? If it will stay within your state then you might want to see if Missouri has a state level fuel decal like NC. If they don't then you have nothing to worry...
They are the ones saying they are not a member, not me. I'm just repeating what they said to me. If you want to dispute it then talk to them as I could care less either way.

You left out the most important part. It was right after the section you posted and it said:
When I stated that Oregon was not part of IFTA in a previous posting that was what I was told by an agent for the state when I called them about permits. When I asked about whether I needed IFTA...
Not a good idea to use rubber line all the way as it's not under pressure from the tank to the fuel pump. That line is under a slight vacuum and a long rubber line could collapse from the suction. If you think you have a leak in the metal line how about using an electric pump to pressurize the...
Yeah, but isn't that if you are buying it from GL yourself? It sounds like you're buying it from a private person and not GL. So if it's from a private seller and the state the seller lives in doesn't issue a title how can LA ask for a title?

I thought Georgia didn't issue titles for vehicles beyond a certain age. So you would only get a bill of sale and that should be all you need in your state.

Well, normally I would say to check with Napa or CarQuest but your location makes that a moot point. :) I don't know if Napa will ship overseas or not but they have the tail light lenses (both left and right) for about $32 each. If you have no luck finding a source closer to home let me know and...
First off welcome to the site. There are a lot of other members on SteelSoldiers in central Florida. There's one in Bradenton that has some stuff for sale but I don't know if he has any trucks. His user name is PCTrans. Might want to check with him to see if he has any trucks as he's a great guy...

Not to mention that it was done in the winter. I've driven the AlCan Highway 6 times, 3 up and 3 back down, and 5 of the trips were in the winter. A lot of places along the way are only open in the summertime when tourist traffic is high. A trip through Canada is great in the summer...
Sorry, I was talking about having IFTA in the past (my wife was stationed in VA at the time). My wife was transferred to a base in Alaska after her assignment in Virginia. Since Alaska is not part of IFTA (that's why I wasn't worried when I didn't get a new decal for the new year) I couldn't...
You have a point, each state is different. I haven't had IFTA in Florida but when I got the IFTA decals from Virginia it was near the end of the year and they did not have the new stickers for the next year yet. I only got a sticker that was good for a month and a half. Even though I was never...
