Just like gimpy said. When I removed the lever and found that it functioned fine from the outside, It was really sticky when removed. In fact you couln't move it at all with just your fingers. Once cleaned and reinstalled, It worked perfectly and the throtle responce is excelent. Who knew?
We are hoping for some decent weather this year. The forecast is for a sunny day friday, Cloudy sat w/ showers late sat and clearing sunday morning. It does get cold up there in the spring, Crap its cold all the time up there, so we will be packing the long johns. We usually get one good day...
Fixed the brakes on my new M54 five ton. Hooked up a water buffalo and we are all set to go to the MTA show up in Sussex County. We will be there from friday until Sunday.
Sounds like it just wound up some and it lets go when you change direction. Do it enough time and you will have pieces on the ground. That being said, it is probably okay. next time practice going the same distance in the same gear. ex. if you back up in low range for ten feet. make sure you go...
Just take a two hour ride North to the Sussex MTA show this weekend We will have several members with Deuces to sell. Plenty of helpfull guys to help you pick a good one and maybe some help getting it home Plus a big assortment of goodies to go with it. Gate opens 0800 on Sat and Sundy...
The deuce only has a little clutch. You are popping it and it is chattering and telling you that you are killing it. Go back and give the guy a thumping with my blessing. Either he doesn't know what he is talking about or he don't know how to explain it to you. (which I have been told is my...
No lanterns needed, Think of cow barns or Pavilions. Just a covered barn with no sides. Sure, it can get breezy and downright cold but you will be dry and there is plenty of light so you will see everything there is to see. Bill says no rain and the snow should be behind us now. Looks like...
Buy it. More people need to own Deuces. It dosen't make any difference what excuse you use to rationalize its purchase, as long as you get it home. Good luck with it.
Looks like Bobbers are finally getting accepted on this forum. Not one derogertory remark. Even I am helping build one in the shop now. I never thought I'd see the day.[thumbzup]
I also have no idea why they put fuel gauges in deuces or even five tons. I never trust them and keep a stick handy and a couple full fuel cans on board.
New Life Canvas. Without a doubt. They use heavy weight material.Excellent workmanship. And the products actually perform to specifications. Cant' beat them. They have made Canvas for all my MV's and when I compare them to others, I am surprised that a few of them even try to stay in...
Jeff, I may be getting the full 3/8 steel. I'm angleing for the double thickness. Just to be true to the original. The new truck got new tires all around so I am feeling cocky
Almost all the deuces and five tons we have had in the shop have rust issues right where the cowl and windshield frame meet. I would bet that if you took a wire brush and ran it along that joint wyou will find several pin holes. We have been cutting the entire cowl out and replacing the...
I have side supports and bows on the Untouchable. I prefer to run covered because I am a one man show and it takes a lot of work to keep everything in the box clean and oiled. I been caught in rain before and it takes hours and hours to get things back in shape. I used the uprights from a set...
We put a new axel in the M816. then we used that truck to bobb a deuce and I replaced a front brake line on the M54a2. I'm on crutches this week so I'm pretty slowed up but I have the new tarp for the cargo truck and a new cab top to go on before the middle of next week. The M51a2 is getting...
