I'm not that anal when it comes to a vehicle's authenticity. I kind of like the angled look with the straps anyway. I just figured that with singles, having a narrower bed would look better, maybe even pick up some aerodynamics and gain a few miles per hour? Ha!
I've run 50/50 WVO & diesel in my M1009 without any problems or conversion. I did have an issue with gelling in cold weather.
I've got my M1009 for sale in the SS classifieds if you are interested. Located in NJ.
I'm curious...
What are the dimensions of the bed on an M135? Is it narrower than the M35? Will it fit on an M35? I've always liked the look of the M135 beds. (image taken off the web)
RE: Aerevoe coating
Bjorn,
I don't remember the paint number but it was the forest green. My stuff turned gray after two years. I've used both the spray cans and the gallons.
RE: Aerevoe coating
ALL of my vehicles painted with Aervoe are gray. Aervoe is the worst paint that I have ever used. Wherever the sun hits the paint, it will turn.

I've got an 8' Fisher plow, complete with lights, frame, hydraulics, and controller for sale in NJ. $350, come and get it or I can deliver for a fee.
Come on guys...help me out! I would like to get my Champ before the hurricane season kicks in in Florida but funds are limited right now. Hauling stuff is the best way for me to afford a trip down and back.
Bruce: Maybe we can barter for our other deal?
n2sq: No problem to throw a door on...
As of now, I am working on getting three small loads that have to go south. If anyone has stuff going north, it would be worth my while to haul it for you. I can get a trailer that is 20' long with a 10,000# capacity. I could then make the trip sooner, say after July 4th.
I've driven a TGB 1111 and these trucks are amazing! Faster than my Unimog U1300L, lots more room inside than a Pinz, very capable off road. If I were to get another European vehicle, it would be a TGB.
I've talked to Jim Molloy who owns a C303 and his brother Sean who has a TGB 1111 (which I...
The problem isn't with the search feature itself but with error pages that come up. Since I am not the only one experiencing this, maybe it should be addressed by the SS web gurus?
The Iltis is a great little vehicle. Very quick and fun to drive. I had an opportunity to drive one at Northwest Mogfest in 2006.
Let's see a section for other European military vehicles too! (British, French, etc.)
