    M1009 won't start...did a search but no luck

RE: M1009 won I'm still trying to find the correct part number for the starter relay. The search pages are not working. The AutoZone part #AC40 is incorrect. It has five pins instead of four.

RE: Re: my trip started off real bad Everyone seems to be looking for answers but do any of you realize that t120r is on the road and cannot get to SS?

    A Word for the Wise

DHL takes ten day for overnight from NJ to my place in Nevada. They ship stuff to Salt Lake City and then they put it in the US mail. Kind of frustrating when I was waiting for a large check.

    M1009 won't start...did a search but no luck

RE: M1009 won I'm reading 29-31 volts at the bus bar. The batteries were charged on a trickle overnight, each separately. My concern is not so much for the high voltage but to get the engine to crank. I can deal with the high voltage later.

    M1009 won't start...did a search but no luck

RE: M1009 won High voltage could mean a bad regulator on the alternator. I'll have to check that out. Having the starter checked is not an option when the nearest shop that can do it is 120 miles away. Anyone have a 24v starter for sale?

    M1009 won't start...did a search but no luck

RE: M1009 won Cleaned all the battery connections and checked voltage on the starter relay: Red: 36 volts Purple: 36 volts (when key is in crank position) Purple/White: 18 volts (when key is in crank position) Ground wire is good. When I turn the ignition key to crank, a little click comes...

    M1009 won't start...did a search but no luck

I'm sure this has been discussed plenty of times but the search engine hasn't brought up anything and going through all the posts is time consuming. Here's the scenario: After being away from home for two months, I went out to start the M1009. It turned over but the batteries were low and I...

Forgot...if you are in North Jersey, there is a Unimog owner in Highland Lakes who might be able to loan you his trailer.

    towing a M1009 with a 98 chevy c1500

Give Jude Meehan a call and see if he can use his 1 ton truck and trailer to help you out. I've borrowed it many times and even hauled a Suburban. If you need his number, send me a PM.

    Looking at a Unimog

Dave, I can't say enough good things about Unimogs. They are really fun to drive, reliable, cheap to fix, and there is a great support group. I beleive that Sean Philyaw does not sell 404's anymore since he is concentrating mostly on diesel Mogs, Gelandwagens, and diesel Mog parts. If you...

    GL at Aberdeen

RE: Robyn Robyn, I don't understand why the subject of your appearance should be brought up in this thread. Sound a little judgemental to me. Heck, most of the guys walking around Aberdeen could qualify as severely obese. But nobody mentions that on SS. Great to meet you! (again)

Empty trailer from Nevada to New Jersey

I'll have an empty 14' flat bed trailer from Nevada to New Jersey around the first week of June. I can haul a Jeep or something comparable in size. Nothing bigger. My route usually takes me on I-70 across the country but I can also take I-40 to I-81. My prices are cheap...just pay for my...
