oifvet,
It's not so much the search engine itself but the error messages when trying to "jump" to other pages on the search menu or the watched topics menu.
There should only be one pin but it's possible that it's rusted on the pivot pin? Maybe it's been extended tight up against something?
Unbolt it from the trailer and lube it up.
Figured it out: bad glow plug solenoid. Simple fix. Here are the symptons for future reference:
Turn the key one click, buzzing noise in solenoid, glow plug light dim. Turn the key to start, grinding noise from solenoid.
Brand new starter relay installed with no change in results. The solenoid that is making the buzzing sound is the one on the firewall which is the glow plug relay? However, that shouldn't affect the starting should it? That just heats the glow plugs up?
Rory,
Many, many trailers were made for very specified uses. Many of them did not get designated M numbers. Other times, the military would use civilian trailers but not give it an M number.
I tried the search feature but nothing that related to my situation:
I hopped in the M1009 and went to start it but got nothing but a buzzing noise. After a search of possible causes, the solenoid is making noise. Is this a sign of it being bad or is there something else I should check?
Thanks!
As many of the SS members may know, the MVPA is holding a convention in Portland, OR on August 14-16. This is the same time that the annual Northwest Mogfest is being held.
The organizers of Northwest Mogfest would like to invite any interested SS members to join them in a convoy to the MVPA...
How does July 12th or 13th sound? Anybody else want to chime in and join the ride? I'd like to start earlier in the morning so it isn't too hot on the trails. We can skip breakfast and meet up at the Wawa on the Red Lion Circle.
That was a heartwarming and wonderful gesture! Passing the tradition along to your son must be a wonderful feeling. I hope he learns to respect what you have done for him.
