Thats good info, I read a ford forum where a guy had this set up for years with no issues. Anyone else have a similar set up using an electric just for back up or for priming and using the mechanical pump for driving?

got an airtex electric fuel pump. Came with everything you need to install it, was very pleased. Will be a great item to keep in the truck just in case.

plan to take dash apart tomorrow and instal a few new bulbs and see if i can figre out why my speedo and odometer are not working anymore, just died a couple weeks ago
removed the diff cover and the grey RTV and installed an actual gasket. cleaned up rust and washed the diff cover in the dishwasher before the wife comes home. cleaned it up and painted with rustoleum and new hardware to secure it.

The filter set up is the Racor 200 series head, comes with built in priming pump. Very nice set up and I would absolutely buy again. Heres a link to the item at west marine, they will price match so I found them online for $100.00 and they matched it, so if you can find one locally do that...
Antenna mount and brush guard finally got installed, got a few pics of my Racor spin on filter, hood insulation and had an exemption plate custom cut and laser engraved to reflect the exemptions.
