I've made it to the point point of removing the worm gear per TM 9-2320-209-34-2-3 page
18-2 Frame 8 it say's " Using rawhide mallet, tap gear end of drive worm (3) untill front
ball bearing (4) is free of gearcase (1) and take bearing off drive worm"
but I cant move it any which way any one...
I was looking for a source of gear oil and came across this
MIL-L-2105 : Former specification equal to API GL-4 performance level.
MIL-L-2105 B : Mono-grade automotive gear oil equal to API GL-4 performance level.
MIL-L-2105 C : Multi-grade automotive gear oil equal to API GL-4 performance...
well I got it all together(new engine in and set) and it run's like a top, started right up

IT'S IN my new engine is in for those that have been keeping track this has been a long road

I got a small(50lb capacity) siphon feed sand blaster to do the nocks and crannies but I dont know any thing about blast abrasive I guess I need a
corse sand for removeing paint rust any help?

my dad told me a story about when he worked for the state and they had him
pull out of storage 3 BIG tank retriever's with a open cab a huge A-frame
and 4 balloon tires and a engine that used 12ga blank shells to start.

I was looking at auto paint books at the book store yesterday I couldnt
really find one I liked but then I saw a John Deere tractor restoration book
that had a ton of good paint info for stuff like you'd do for a MV like painting
over old solid paint in it they(the writers) said the only primer...
After working on the deuce all day all I really got done was finishing up the removal of the right fender.
I started by drilling a big hole(1.5") and trying to grab the nut that had
broke free(the caged nuts on the back part) that didnt work at all
so I tried a wrench thay didnt either so I cut...
I have a hole in my fuel tank(see pic) I want to patch hopefully with a
piece of sheet metal and some epoxy, I have some JB weld but
my dad says there's a brand of epoxy just for patching fuel tanks
anyone heard of it?? well any way here's the pic.
as you can see(I hope) in the pics Gillespie is slightly darker then CARC
just something I thought some might want to know more pics to come
after I paint more of my truck and get more new CARC.
