    16x6.5 wheels for M37

Through the grapevine, I have heard pros/cons on Stockton wheels for the M37... some have mentioned in the past that the rim material Stockton used might have been thinner/'softer' than the stock Budd wheels & that the Stockton rims seemed to be easily bent? Anyone else heard this? Bueller...

    16x6.5 wheels for M37

You won't get 16" tires to fit 16.5" rims. And if you plan to get a set of 11.00x16 tires, better get 'em now - supplies will dry up soon. 'Tanner'

    6.2 Diesel in a M-37?

The 6.2 & 5-speed swap has been done with good success by a gentleman named Juan and others in the past - I am on-again/off-again on my swap due to work/family obligations. PM me for details, but the basics are that I have a 6.2 with a GM medium-duty (C60) truck bellhousing & a Spicer 3053A...

So what, exactly, keeps the turbo pressure of 6.2s at 10 psi??

The crankshafts in the 6.X were cast from the Detroit Diesel - journal surfaces were Nitrided or Tuftrided (surface hardened, but I don't recall which process was used). You can polish a 6.X crank, but cannot cut it, or you'll ruin the surface hardening treatment... The cranks can break, but it...

    WisDOT renews efforts on TRANS-123

The Porsche analogy is lame - a 911 imported in today would be virtually equivalent in spec to the 911 that was sold here in the US in '73... The picture/s that Grandma was passing around to the committee appears to show a Messerschmidt 3-wheeler on the cover of the page that one of the...

So what, exactly, keeps the turbo pressure of 6.2s at 10 psi??

The newer design 6.5 used in HMMWV and marine applications have a separate lower main 'bedplate' to add strength to the bottom end. This seems to help... another thing that will help it survive is... STOP USING A 6.X engine to pull loads greater than it was designed to pull... 'Tanner'

So what, exactly, keeps the turbo pressure of 6.2s at 10 psi??

Pfffttt.... keep a 6.X NA long enough & you'll crack the main web... or the sides of the block. We were junking roughly 85% of the 6.X blocks at (unnamed quality engine remanufacturing company) & ended up using new block castings in the remans... 'Tanner
