When your engine is warm and will not start try pouring a little cool water on the injection pump, see what happens.
Also is it safe to assume you have cleaned the return check valve on the IP?
If not the lines then the lift pump? I gather you replaced it and used grease to hold the actuating rod in place while the pump is installed. It could be a new bad pump.
If an electric pump that bypasses the mechanical pump and is fed from the tank works that would seem to indicate a...
After reading everything here it sounds like wet hubs would be the way to go but these machines were not designed for that.
Anyhow I checked the oil in the differential and is was just barely running out so I drained it down a little to where it reads 1/2" below the bottom of the fill hole...
Also the cable between the batteries can look fine from the outside but be corroded inside. Voltage measures correctly but when under a load (like starting) too much voltage drops across that cable causing a low voltage condition at the starter and glow plugs.
You have downloaded the manuals...
Welcome to the site.
Search for nutserts and/or antenna mounts in the cucv forum and you will find a number of threads with pictures and options for your dilemma.
Easy to confirm, just trace wires and or measure the voltage at the top of the glow plug relay with the key off. If you read 12v the 12V conversion has been done.

Grounds are probably the most overlooked connections on CUCVs.
Glad to hear you got it started and thank you for the AAR (after action report) as it help others who read the this...
No.
The glow plug module controls the glow plug relay and wait light and nothing more. If the glow plug module is not working it will not activate the glow plug relay. No glow plugs means no or at best hard cold starts.
