    PA bobbed deuces

This is for the bobbed deuces that live in the hills and snow. I am considering bobbing my 66 wo/w My main concerns: Will the loss of the read axle reduce poor weather (aka snow) performance? With larger tires (up to and including 395s) how bad will I feel it on the hills? I live in the...

    Acceptable price for WMO

I put an ad on Craigslist to buy used motor oil.. 55gallon min. I got 3 hits right away for 50, 55, and 160 gallons. I offered the guy with 3 55gallon drums $0.50 gallon ($28 a barrel) which I consider a fair price. So far no reply. To low? I have no problem paying for WMO as long as its...

    CCKW decals

I have finished the decals for the CCKW engine. Attached is a screen shot of the decals (not to size... they are whatever the thumbnail viewer displayed them as). These will be actual water slip decals (unless the printer has any reservations about such large decals). More info is at...

    $30 WMO filtering

My oil is clean, from my own cars... and I really don't have a lot of it (maybe 10 gallons saved up). So I bought three sock filters (50,10,1 micron) and two 5 gallon buckets (bought new so would not have to worry about cleaning them). Pics are self explanatory. The socks hole about 2...

    Troop seats cut

Picked up a deuce and the fold down troop seats are cut. They stop a few inches forward of the 2nd bow on both sides. The seat back is not cut, just the seat. Any idea why this cut was made? Load/unload cargo? A big honking tool box? Any pics of M35s with this mod? Thanks

    Deuce tow bar question

I'm pretty sure we had the towbar between a running and a towed deuce set up properly, yet whenever the towing M35 turned, the towed M35 countersteered and nearly ripped the tires off the rims. For example, turned right, towed M35 countersteered left (fully to the left) and drug the front end...

CCKW deep sump oil pan decal

I have made a somewhat important discovery regarding the decal on the oil pan (the oil filter is in another thread). Most of the info is here: tm9-801.com • View topic - CCKW Oil pan Decal info - SOLVED! But the major points are: It was only on the 'deep sump' oil pan. The decal even has...

Early M35 Q: Headlights and gauges

Some trucks have the headlight in the lower holes, with the BO drive light above, others have the lights in the upper holes with the BO driving light below. Any idea why? Is it an early/late thing? Also, I saw an M35 with a very wierd panel. It had the Tach and speed separated by the gas...

    filter set on e-bay

Has anyone gotten the 'filter kit' (all but the air) from clintdigger97 on e-bay? Price seems OK ($55 for the filters w/$15 SH). Is that an OK price or should I look local? I read a few napa/filter threads and have the numbers. Is there a cheaper fuel/oil filter route?
