As of now I have a cheap Mr Gasket pump, a selector valve, up to a fuel screen, to another pump.
I'll be adding a 10 and 2 micron filter before the second pump. Ill be trying to put them in the engine bay to avoid laying under the truck in another parking lot.
I've ordered new filters and bases to mount in the engine bay with manual pre and post pressure gauges. I'll have a 10 micron filter, then direct to a 2 micron. I'll still have a post tank fuel pump and a post filters fuel pump plumbed in.
My fuel tank selector valves are the type that...
Picking your brains, fuel issue
Driver's front fuel injection. return line popped off. Replaced. Did it again a couple times.
Both stanadyne racor filters underneath leaked around the gaskets.
The clear filter screen downstream from those shows algea, white stuff, black stuff.
2 micron...
Re filter bases
Don't buy the solid aluminum ones unless your never going to run a filter with aluminum threads in it. I put a cat filter on one and it galled. A filter wrench won't turn it. I'm going to have to cut it off.
The cat filter seized on the bases threads. Apparently it's all aluminum and it's a known issue.
Any idea on a base for the cat 0750 filter that is better?
Tried to make it down the road today. Having fuel issues. Diesel leaking past the o ring seals on the racor spin on filter, fuel injection return line on the driver's front leaking, replaced, and then popping off.
I bypassed the racor filter and when I cut the line it had pressure and sprayed...
I thought a body lift and raised mother and trans mounts would help a lot where the crossover needs to clear the frame. Oval pipe would do it slick too.
Switch panel is in. A dptt center off for accessory, from either battery or ignition to my outlets and other switches. Pull for map light LEDs under the switches. Two more dptt co switches I can turn on or from say for the hi beams or rev lights for my light bars. The cooling fans and water...
Check the mains for cracks. If good, get some 6.5 heads and I'd go arp studs. I don't have a good reason as you don't have a turbo tho. If the bottom end is good, you might consider the Ford pinto head studs in the mains to take some stress off the webs. It's excessive, but...
Think I found someone local to do the timing. Looks like upping the fuel and boost is coming.
Still tuning the shifting and buttoning up as I look for that flywheel cover and parts.
Bought a new isspro pyro boost gauge, haven't tried it yet. Also got a multi tester coming that has millivolt...
I don't think the gmparts website likes Android. It kinda works, then doesn't.
I'm not adverse to buying new. The cover and brackets would-be great. Mounting hardware too, even better.
Yes, your funny... Looking, smelling, a bit odd, the whole funny farm:)
Sorry, I couldn't resist either.
If I had a shop with a cement floor, some sort of roof, a lift, or something other than mud and grass, I would do it.
I'm just going by what I was told. 4x4 4l80e from behind a 6.5 diesel for the cover and rod parts. The t400 cover does not fit and I need the plates that goes behind the motor mounts.
I keep hoping to find one of the 6 bolt hole covers. I hate thinking all the money spent on the transmission is waiting to wasted because of a cracked case.
