What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

If it works, yes.... An old school Warn 8274 is not the strongest winch out there, but it works and they can be upgraded for more pulling power.

Jumping off the injection pump bridge

Make sure you get the correct lift pump. The parts stores list two Delphi units, but only one of them will work. You want #chfp906. That is the correct lift pump. #mf30030 is incorrect and will not work.

M1031 Maintenance Contact Truck just acquired

^^what he said.. I'm a big fan of the 255 85 16 tire. I run that size with a BFG KM2 on my 86 M1008 and Toyo MT on my 79 K20. Both are mounted on the factory wheels and there's no fender rubbing. With the weight of the M1031, I would recommend the Toyo MT because of the stiffer sidewalls and a...

M1031 Maintenance Contact Truck just acquired

Nice ole 1031.. Just my 3 cents; I'd leave the truck as is and keep the box on it. As for the humvee tires, don't waste your money on a size that's not readily available when there's much better options for tires out there **change the harmonic balancer on the 6.2 diesel asap. The existing...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

**this why it's paramount to change the balancer on a 6.2 diesel.. That's not going to be a quick easy fix... I'm sure the crank can be fixed, just not while it's in the block.

    Th400 going bad?

Yes, they have to be modified to handle the power. In stock form they're a time bomb waiting to go off. Just like a 10 bolt G80 gov-loc.. lol

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

The 86 💩box M1008 got a better set of doors swapped onto it. And the driver's side is a cucv door with the ID plate on it... and who cares if it's from an M1010😆

    Sagging door of doom

To be on the safe side, get new hinges. The doors on my 86 m1008 are being swapped today and the existing driver's side hinges were just worn out. I just bought new hinges and painted them.
