The SEE predecessor is a lot better than a shovel and pick axe too. Did 170' x 42" deep for a hot water line from outdoor stove to house. It's not a track hoe, but it's not a rental and delivery charge either.
I think it boils down to the price. Usually it can be easier to slap in an SBC for quick and not have a hassle with bolting any trans you can think of to it. The diesel's seem to be a little more pricey on the accessory costs especially on the transmission. 6BT and NV4500 is great, but you're...
I have a 12' dropside bed on my M931A2 behind the knuckleboom. Pretty happy with the fit, a little more overhang, but really not that bad...about the same distance a deuce bed is behind the rear tires. I have it hinged and a cylinder mounted, just need to get a power beyond valve to mount...
Mine's getting the rear winch put back and keeping the backhoe mount (for now) since that has come in handy a couple times and with the cold weather on us, it's time to start pulling logs again.
Funny Shenkman, you'd really like it now with the operational backhoe! :) Sorry- no pics on this computer.
Just busy with a bunch of things and this fall was a massive effort to get a new heat system for the house being an outdoor wood burner an eliminating the oil furnace and that horrible...
I used my HT-11A backhoe on my 406 to dig a trench for the hot water lines on my outdoor wood burning furnace. I had to go beside my septic tank...though I had plenty of room then I was curling the bucket up and a large section of the ground started raising up. Oops...just caught the side of...
You may also want to try putting an add on the Unimog Exchange... http://www.unimog.net/exchange/index.php?page=1 ...I've had decent luck with selling and locating a couple of parts on there. Free to list, stays on a month, lots of 404 stuff usually.
Nice 20k Garwood, btw. Just make sure...
You need to look to the bigger Mogs. You can get fast axles in the U900 series in the 416 long wheelbase trucks but still won't get you to 75. U1300 to 1700 or larger will help as they'll have more power, handle speed a little better and you can get the Claas overdrive for them and larger...
Try PM'ing Bob Cowan, he has some M37 and M715 parts...
OR...and this may sound odd, but try Chucks Trucks in FL, some of the mud truck guys run the old NP200 T-Cases and there a chance he may have a couple around.
Nope, you only have four reverse speeds using low range however, with the stand-alone hi/lo shifter, it's a breeze compared to the faxtory six speed shifter. Just simply slip into low then hit the reverser and you have four reverses to select from.
I hear lots of talk about unlocking the...
I didn't air down at all...was on a time crunch all for about three days previous to leaving. They're around 35-40psi. I usually run the fronts a little more pressure.
Yours definitely worked well on the couple times I caught it traversing something.
Awesome! I don't get to see it really doing it's thing while driving, ya know?
Oh, how much did you have your tires aired down? The were putting out a good footprint for 900x20's.
