    Armored URAL?

    Wow, that sucker is meaty!

    Am I wasting fuel?

The other thing to do in an older diesel is to hold your gear until you crest the hill so you don't lug. Most people don't realize the inefficiency of too low of rpm's on an engine especially while trying to maintain or climb.

    M939 Series Battery Cover/Seat Removal

I tried to take my valve are dealie off and for some reason it wouldn't come off. Maybe a plastic retainer or something...?!? It was easy enough to pull the pin from the clevis on the T-case side of the linkage, count the turns, pull the nut, pull the washer and slap it back together again. I...

    Drag Race Tranny

If we're talking about putting 3/4 and 1 ton civvy transmissions in AND discussing Gear Vendors units, why not just slap in a divorced NP205 and get 1410 yokes from Jesse at High Angle Drive...oops, put the GEAR VENDORS unit on the back of it then see if Jesse has one for that. :mrgreen...

    M939 Series Battery Cover/Seat Removal

Now that you guys are done with that...why don't you swing under the truck and pull the large washer off of the middle of the transfer case HI/LO linkage where it contacts the roller on the are of the air solenoid. By doing that SIMPLE truck, you gain FULL CONTROL over your front axle...

    Drag Race Tranny

That thing about the Lingenfelter Corvette is pretty cool. I was the digs one night for some exibition where they had a door slammer pro mod car racing a sprint car. The sprint car was fired and warmed up making a lap down the track then down the pit lane then got a run from the line up lanes...

    Drag Race Tranny

We did it for love / tech talk?? Don't mind the call out- Same article filtered all over the net...it must be true. Tell ya what, I'll stick with what I know of drag engines and being in the pits and talking to nitro engine builders...and we'll agree to disagree.

    Drag Race Tranny

"If spark momentarily fails early in the run, unburned nitro builds up in the affected cylinders and then explodes with sufficient force to blow cylinder heads off the block in pieces or split the block in half." Some interesting info, some not so accurate info. If a cylinder loses fire to...

Hydro-Max Brake Assist *pics added* (long read)

Yes, you'll have more power because you have less surface area for the resistence. Most people think the biggest piston is the best...not always.

    towing

As was stated in most states pulling over 10,000lbs (10,001 and up to be exact) you'll need extra cred on your driver's license. BUT, in PA for instance, 10,000lbs and under DOES NOT get added to the truck in a GCWR. In fact, in PA 10,000lbs and under and the state practically doesn't care...

    possible 5 ton build

OH, and don't forget the rear pinion is located off to one side as well so that would already take a few degrees out of your turn angle in one direction.

    possible 5 ton build

Yep, you're on the right track! The CV would also have to be located directly under the pintle hook so the turning pivot point(s) would be inline but also don't forget about a long travel slip yoke. For instance you crest a short steep knob and drop down the other side. With the rear drive...

    tires or CTIS leaking?

Yes, it's yours now...put the tire how you want them; or how they look the best. [thumbzup] From sitting some water/rust had made it to my O-ring on my tractor and caused a leak exactly where you're is. Just changed it out. Something else that I do just to help make sure the seal is good is...
