And if that all dosnt work you might need some resistors. Got some off Amazon for cheap. But I don’t believe I needed them in my application due to being sold some faulty front blinker/lights.
The cannon plug to the flasher has ABC on it.
A is flasher output(+), B is flasher input(+), and C is ground.
If you try the bulb thing and that dosnt work this is how you hook up the flasher unit.
Also did you change the little bulb in the blinker handle yet?
If not first try taking the bulb completely out and see what you get. If no change or nothing works get the LED bulb.
***** I would try this before the flasher unit****
What is your current flasher unit you have now? Also what brand lights do you have, if known. Sometimes they are unbranded and made in China. The only reason I ask is that someone else had put together what brands work with what flasher units. The cheapest way to rule out in my experience is to...
I can get the light to flash/blink. Blink then back to no light blink then back to no light.…I’m guessing there might be an issue with it being on/running lights then needing to get brighter when the blinker is switched on. Also noticed some other blinkers units out there appear to have...
I did the same thing. Got a 3 wire no load flasher. Still didn’t work.
Update—— So I contacted the seller of these lights they told me that they were discounted because they were defective somehow and to pound sand. Even tho the listing stated New and mentioned nothing about the defect. Anyways...
Correct. So it has 3 wires off the top of my head I think they are 460, 92, and 21, and a fourth wire-grounding wire that comes out and mounts to one of the bolts holding it in. I attached all the other grounds to the same point/bolt. The 2 bolts have a metal piece on link them together.
I...
I tried it both low and high beams. Still don’t blink.
I believe when the headlights are on the front turn/park lights are always on.
Hmmm I just can’t figure this one out. Maybe the 3 lever light switch?
I just don’t know the flow of power to stuff.
Also I unplugged one of the headlights to...
Tried a couple more things. Cleaned up the grounds. That did nothing. Ran a diffrent wire to a good ground. That did nothing.
Read a bunch of diffrent things about leds. Does anyone know if polarity is a thing on these trucks. Read that if the lights are on it could revese polarity or somthing.
Update- so I installed some resistors on the rear lights. The led bulbs on the rear work perfectly now. I then installed them on the front and they still don’t blink when the headlights are on. They have always blinked with the headlights off and they have always not blinked with headlights on...
Update…. Got a whole tie rod thing (new old stock) mooge problem solver off eBay for $120. Slapped it in there and problem solved. I can’t believe they would put the ends in wrong. I’m not sure how you could even do that haha. Drives nice a straight without any weird tire noise. Highway speeds...
I’ve tried it on and off.
So with the truck on:
-headlights (led) and tail lights (incandescent) on.
——-rear lights blink and get brighter with brake applied. Front turn signals don’t work. But they are on.
-headlights (led) and tail lights (led) on.
——-led rear light bulbs in I don’t get blink...
