Don't use Imron, unless your going to go down to bare metal (sandblast) and start from scratch. Its too expensive not to do a good job all the way through. My transport truck has had red on it - Imron, and is still holding up well for the last 20 years. Maybe it will start to fade in the next 20
Its cracking because of vibration - brass is terrible for that application. In fact, any heat will distort that door skin, especially welding. Your going to be better off, just getting another door.
If the rear main seal leaks, you'll get seepage. If you fill the transmission to the fill plug hole, you will get gear lube leaking forward that can cause your clutch to slip in the top gears. Run your tranny about one knuckle joint low.

Any modification will be a tremendous amount of work. The results questionable. Most modifications like that are never completed, because of time and money. The engines are the same and can be re-built! Tune ups must include valve adjustments to the solid lifters.

It will take a good day to clean that stuff out of there and re-service it, much less do the repairs. All the important stuff is under neath. Its hard to get the mud out from the frame rails. When left there, it takes a toll on the steel brake lines and even the wiring. Its tough cleaning...
Disconnect the outlet line and look. It won't be the first that needs to be rebuilt! Is the rest of the system/ line intact? You have to look underneath, to see that.
I can't believe this.... The absolute first thing your do in trouble shooting an engine, is to set the valves!!!! You can't do anything else, and expect meaningful results, until you set the valves in an engine with mechanical lifters. You don't tune up an engine, like this, unless the valves...
