It sure is weak! No lateral support. Had the ends been filled in, even with as light as 1/4" material, Boxed, and welded up, it would have been OK. The way it is, is a wreck waiting to happem!
Its a regular cable, wraped around individually insulated wires. Go with the 7-pin (flat) RV plug/recepticle. Its the most common. You can then go from it to the little flat 4-pin that would be common on a sno-go trailer, etc. I say the 7-pin RV one, unless you are around commercial...
For some reason, I have the impression that the old Willeys Overland wheels would interchange. That is going back there to the old days. When I was a Kid, I had a Willeys pickup, and those trailers were common then.
I sand blasted some one time and then painted them. Its really hard to hurt them. There are several ring styles, that you don't want to interchange. Not sure if that is in the military line.
It was a lot of work doing all that. Having someone, as above, do it, sounds real cheap and easy...

Or you could also have and "air lock" in it. Loosen one or both hose clamps at the heater, and see if some air woun't escape. Try both, so you are sure. Leave the pressure cap on the raditor, so there is some pressure in the system.
Congratulations on the great buy, and welcome to the site. You even got a tongue jack on the trailer. As a tip, on pulling your 101 empty, pull the pins on the one side of your head gate, and fold it around to the side - less wind drag. I secure it back, with a couple of bungees.
STSCSS Better check that head for "flat"! My guess is that you will have to mill it. Last time I did mine, it was out .017. A gasket won't hold with that kind of difference.
I think it was like 73M819 called it - rusted on. The BFH that is called for is a 16#er. Use it to hit the rim of the wheel. That can also happen here with a combination of rust/mud/ice. The BFH is standard equipment to carry with you. Add it to the pioneer kit!
Its a heck of a deal in the first place, if it runs and generates. Do you get a title with the trailer? That a REAL BIG thing for me. I'd want it covered, with a tarp, or shedded. You can do that part later though.
