It is my understanding that Missouri requires a VIN check on ANY vehicle(not just former military vehicles) that is being title transferred from another state. The purpose of the check is to verify that the vehicle has the VIN shown on the out of state title. If one is buying a Missouri...
I suspect that it is a VIN check. I was told that I had to have a vin check because I was transferring an out of state title (Wisconsin) to Missouri. My truck was not roadworthy, but I wanted to get it titled quickly. DMV led me to believe that I HAD to drive it to any vehicle inspection...
:beer:72 and shocked at how young this crowd is. Bought the MV as sort of a mid life crisis type of thing. That was a couple of years ago. Thus, I should live to be 140.
HELP Can't remove Master cylinder m35a2
The TM says that after you remove everything, you should back the MC into the frame and remove. End of task.
It doesn't seem to be that easy. I removed the 11/16 fitting on the back of the MC to get it to clear the frame opening, but now the back...
I grew up in Evansville, IN. My grandfather worked at the shipyards where many of the LSTs were built. I would love to see the LST 325, but it seems that any time that I am "home", and have the time, she is up river visiting you guys. Enjoy.
Attempting to remove the MC not check it. And I agree that checking it and topping it off is a PITA too. We did have an extension so that the ratchet was beyond the frame. The problem was that the socket turned freely/did not engage the head of the screw.
Gimpy, I think it is a cap...
The TM states that using a 9/16 socket and 6" extension, through access hole, remove capscrew etc.
Well, we had a little problem with that procedure. Working blind, I couldn't seem to get the socket onto the head of the bolt. I tried everything I could think of - even used my most powerful...
I agree about discussing it with the cousin. But, I think he will let me lead the discussion, and I wanted a feel for what would be reasonable as a starting point.
This truck will not be driven more than ten miles away from where it is garaged until it has been thoroughly serviced and...
His original offer to help me out was mostly as a favour to a family member and he knows that frosty beverages are always included in any activity. He has a good job, but is newly married and has kids. I am sure that a cash paying part time job would be of some interest to him - at least...
First a little background on the situation.
After lurking here for several months, I began putting in some "lowball" bids on that popular auction site. At a particularly inopportune time, I won a Deuce. (Why do they call it winning when you agree to pay more than anyone else in the world...
I am relatively new to this addiction - thus not really up to speed on what is what.
Friends who know of my addiction told me to check out this vehicle which is located about a hundred miles from where I live. They know even less than I do, so the pictures don't show much detail and no one...
There is an ex-civilian "Connie" at the Airline History Museum at the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I believe that it is in "near flying condition". It will hopefully return to the air soon.
