I don't know if this link will show but i just taught a Girl how to drive a standard IN the deuce. She was petrified until she got behind the wheel. She did great.

I have read the "fix for a leaky fdc" but not the other one. I was lucky that a member told me to have a few 5 gallon buckets around. I thought he was exaggerating. I havent noticed anything in the oil. But i haven't looked to hard either.
Now I am trying to find out how to or what to tear...
Thats about how much mine was. I got about 15 gallons +/- a gallon or so.
How long was yours leaking before you noticed the damage? what did you do about it? what do you do to look for bearing damage? drop the pan and.....?
Today I took a look behind the fuel cut cutoff cover.
I took a video with the fuel pump on as suggested. It was dripping down the lever.:shock: Where do i go from here?

Catman, Thanks for explaining that to me. I had no Idea and thats why I never suspected it. Even tho I rebuilt it, i disconnected it just in-case.
Besides, if I can get away without needing it in the winter I can use the components to start to make the flame thrower out the stack. :)
Looks awesome. How much were they. Has anyone ever installed a 40-20-40 bench seat with a air adjustable base? I would love to have something that keeps the capability for both kids to be in.
I didn't want to but to see if i could get this under control I did disconnect the flame heater. It is easy enough to eliminate and or reconnect. I already had a fitting so the feed can connect straight into the return.

It has a new HH on it. The flame heater I rebuilt with new o-rings ( I still don't under stand how the flame heater will leak into the system if you do not engage the switch to pump it) Regardless i will disconnect it at this point. I can check the HH easy enough also.

well i just fried mine today so if there are any more free ones kicking around just let me know.... Also i just want to add that when i got my duce the sender was horribly corroded on the most important part (the little rheostat). I was able to salvage it by cleaning it in my ultrasonic cleaner...
I was wondering if anyone has replaced the stock fuel gauge with a non-military one? Besides 24 volts is there any specific important data that needs to be matched up to the sender?
My gauge decided to take a long nap today... so i am looking for a new one. ebay had them $50-$60. I didnt know...
