    Fuel cap questions

After finding out they are made of brass/bronze it makes sense. Didn't realize they weren't steel anymore. I guess they did this to eliminate a spark issue... but that shouldn't have been an issue with diesel.

    Fuel cap questions

Mines the same way on my 931. I was wondering about that, as none of my older M35s or 818 had it.

    My first M923A1!

The only place I have found straight 10w oil has been my John Deere dealer. Alot of the older JDs use it for hydraulic fluid.

Whats your planned route? I might have a couple items around Macon that need to come to Franklin NC. Nothing big, just a M939 exhaust stack and spare tire davit.

    500 miles in a M931A1

Yea yea, I know 500 miles ain't nothing to you "pros" lol. But my rear end was definitely ready to get out of that seat when we finally made it home. Much better ride though than the 650 mile trip I made in a deuce from Ft Jackson SC to West TN. No comparison, think I'm sold on these newer 5...

    500 miles in a M931A1

Thanks, I think I read where you did the bed conversion as well. Any tips and pictures of your attachment points would be much appreciated! I still haven't found a donor bed in my area but as soon as I do I will be doing this mod.

    500 miles in a M931A1

Thanks but the stock ride doesn't bother me. Just amazed at what an an extra few feet of length does to soften things up. Waiting for it to dry up to check date codes on drivetrain, but all the tires were made 30-40th week of 08. Everything about this truck looks new. Even has plastic sheeting...

    500 miles in a M931A1

Want to start off by saying a big Thank You to bobr2004 and Scar59!!! They both made this trip much easier on me. Won a M931A1 out of Indy and finally made the 1000 mile round trip to get it this weekend. Bob (bobr2004) had picked it up from GL, inspected it, and stored it until I could...

Hattiesburg, MS to Franklin, NC or anywhere close

Like to get a M939 exhaust stack and spare tire davit hauled from Jeff down at Camp Shelby to anywhere close to my location in Franklin NC. Wouldn't mind driving a couple hours in any direction to meet.

Franklin NC to Indy IN empty

Planning a trip from Franklin NC to Indianapolis IN on 5/17, and will be returning on 5/18. If anyone needs anything hauled along that route let me know. Right now just taking a car but with enough stuff could move up to a van or truck.

    M931 inspection/pickup from Indianapolis,IN

Wondering if anyone could do an inspection and possibly pickup and store (less than a week) a M931 from the Truck Center at Indianapolis,IN. That way I can drive up on a weekend to get it. Was going to get with Indy4x4fab, but just saw he is not with us anymore. Anyone else in the area?

Anyone in NC have a fuel blenders license?

Yea I guess I should have put fuel blender. Seems that NC has a permit that lets you blend your own fuel and just pay taxes on what you burn. But I was told by revenue office it is for businesses only, not private individuals.

Anyone in NC have a fuel blenders license?

Recently moved to NC and it seems this state loves dipping fuel tanks. I want to resume using wmo, but don't want to chance a $2000 fine. Has anyone in NC applied for and recieved a blenders license? The only other thread I found on this got seriously off track and I didn't think it appropriate...
