Just found out I'm not gonna be able to make it this weekend. Might drive down Fri AM but will have to leave that evening.
I had reserved an RV trailer there a couple months ago for Fri and Sat. If anyone could use this reservation send me a PM and I will send you the details. It is a 2 bed...
I would prefer the 813 if not for the sprag engagement. To many things can go wrong on the M939s for me to feel comfortable off road with them. But I do love the air engagement of the front axle, to me thats there biggest plus.
Im on my second m939 series truck... and starting to miss the simplicity of the deuce. Will probably sell out and go back to old faithful. Its proven itself for the last 50 years, and I really miss shifting gears!
What part of MO are you from? Ive got roots in SE MO myself, parents still live...
Its there just keep looking. For some reason its got a dipstick also... and the fluid isnt purple either, its red??? And when I topped mine off with DOT5, suddenly the trans doesnt shift right anymore??? Any ideas?
Good job on the soft top repair, will definitely keep that in mind!
I would also like to know how you did this. I pay sales tax in the state the vehicle was purchased, then again in NC when I register them. Curious if any other NC residents got out of paying tax twice?
That is the only way I could get my wife to come, had to agree to a cabin instead of a tent. Made the reservation as soon as I noticed this thread, cant wait for Oct to get here!
The 939 series have the switch on the dash similar to the older trucks. But there is also a switch on the transfer case shift linkage, when you shift into low range it engages the front axle. Many people don't like it and disengage it, and use the dash switch only.
Searched but couldn't find the answer. Anyone know how much the 5th wheel hitch assembly weighs on a m931? Getting ready to pull mine in preperation for installing a deuce bed.
I feel your pain! In NC mine will cost me almost $400/year just for the 23k pound plates that im putting on my 931a1. Which means if I fill up both tanks that will pretty much max me out on my weight. This state unlike most others charges you by weight when buying plates, really missing TN now...
