I might think about taking the jeep to the trails if we have a trail leader that knows something about the trail system. Some of the stuff Vinny took us on in his jacked up m1009a few years ago is a no go for the Jeep.
That will be cool! Is the 920 the one you had the expandable on last year? An HMMWV on the trails will be awesome too! Are you buying one of the surplus ones?
I thought about taking the m38a1 to the trails, but i HATE rocks! They will screw a vehicle up quick! Maybe I'll just being the Ranger...
I don't think anything big will fit on the trails around there - I know Jeeps, CUCVs and m37s will though. I think I read on another thread that large vehicles aren't allowed on those trails.
She might be alright since she has some experience. The Denton "show" is a lot different from the GA rally. We just sit around and bs, drive our vehicles around the facility and the surrounding area, some go trail riding. There are vendors and other people's vehicles to look at and talk about...
That's a big camper for a first timer, but that would be one way to learn! How far away are you from Denton?
I think it is the next weekend Mike - sux for me because now I will have to take 3 or 4 days off!
Bring your buddies too! I think 3 years ago was the most vehicles we had ( the first year I think). Hopefully it will keep growing so that Jim and Bob will keep putting the show on. That's what Jim said would happen anyway - as long as they aren't losing too much! Anyway, we always have a good...
Yeah, I'll be there. There are usually about a dozen of us there camping and keeping Cabell occupied at the MKT. I ran the info threads on the rally last year, but am a little too busy to do it this year - I haven't been too active on any of the forums lately.
Bring an HMV, a chair, any adult...
Got in it to go for a ride - batteries dead! I knew they were old, but have been driving it regularly to keep them charged. I guess this little bit of cold weather did them in. Oh well, I don't have time to mess with it this week.
If I recall correctly, the valve is just a tight tapered fit with packing at the top. You might try loosening the cap and tapping on it until it loosens.
The fuel pump cam lobe on mine is worn out, so even though I have a new civi pump, I think mine is not pumping enough to start quickly and...
Mine does the same thing when it sits for weeks not being run. In pretty sure it is the fuel leaking back to the tank ( for mine anyway). I give it about 10 second with the choke on, push that in and then part the pedal until she starts. Have you tried shutting the fuel shut off valve before...
I might still be in - depends on date and family matters. Looks like around 210 miles from Charlotte to Pigeon Forge + about 45 for me to get to Charlotte.
I'm just the opposite, I'm working through the holidays. I have so much other crap going on when I AM off, I don't know what I will be able to commit to.
I found a couple on eBay really cheap. I'll probably stop by O'Reilly in the morning on the way home from work to see what they have in stock. What do you think, 2 double squirter nozzles (2 squirters per windshield) or just a single nozzle in the middle of the cowl (1squirter per windshield)? I...
