Larry's right. It is the auto show/auto parts swap meet weekend at the Antiques Festival. It is an excellent opportunity for us to show off this other side of "the old car hobby". The average attendance at the Festival is over 30,000, with a couple hundred antique dealers selling everything...
If your transmission is in neutral when you're trying to hit 4 low, it's something inside the tranny that's not making full release. If you're not in neutral, you should be.
nice pics
Thanks, everyone, for sharing.
Kathy, nice to see you and your family back in the picture again. How much influence did California have on that jeep?
Charles,
Glad to see from you again. Do you work, or sleep, or have a family, or anything? The amount of detail you put into each model is amazing! I'm estimating about 150 to 200 hours of work on each one. please don't tell me if it's less than 100 hours.
About posting the pics, I have...
As promised.
The three front views were taken through the fence at the Gaylord, MI DNR disposal lot in fall of 1994. The rear views were taken August 1995, when ODJEEPER and I recorded all the serial numbers. The one Tactical Truck entry is number TE003G. The others are...
Not all gone
BobS,
TAACOM didn't destroy the losers. When I can dig them out, I'll post some pics of the Teledyne units sitting in a disposal lot in Gaylord, MI about 1994. They went to a volunteer fire department in Maryland, IIRC. (I don't think the FD knew they were prototypes with...
Those are trailers designed specifically for the 2 1/2 ton FMTV. The 5 ton FMTV trailer has tandem axles. Don't have my chart handy this morning for the M #s.
sorry for the temp hi-jack, carter
Zak, you changed your avatar and now everyone's going to think I've got a real NICE truck for sale! Mine (bought 4, sold the two good ones) came from closer to Alpena, by Harrisville. You sent me the pics you took of the two by the road. Those are the ones...
Nice work
Carter,
Recognize the signon from G741. Never really looked at your album before. NICE JOB!!
Didn't know what you'd started with.
Anyone that wants a similar challenge, I've got the truck in ZAKs avatar for sale. PM me.
Patience and determination. A lot of both.
Thanks for...
RE: Re: RE: Who can help me ID this trailer?
Can't find it in either edition of Standard Cataglog, in the TB43, or in Jane's 96-97 logistics. Close to the M269/M270, but not close enough.
other bodies besides flat
Went on the OSHKOSH website last night to explore the info. Found that they have what they call "Engineering Mission Modules" for the PLS that include a dump body, concrete mixer, fuel tanker, and bituminous spreader. Didn't watch the videos, can't stand to have that...
M1075--
Would that have been tagged as an XM1074? Do you have any info on the Pilot/prototype serial numbers or USA registration numbers? I am (foolishly) trying to fill in holes in the Mseries number list that's on wikipedia and was posted here some time ago.
I'd love to see that fully...
Miamirex--getting in isn't going to be the biggest problem. Getting OUT will be!! Better rig up some kind of elevator 'cause jumping down from that truck is gonna mess up your knees real bad. A very short lady I worked with had a lifted Ford Ranger years ago and had to sell it after only 6...
