I was looking at two vehicles when I bought my M1009. I wanted a vehicle to do some trail driving and perhaps survive the Mojave Trail. Something that, as mentioned earlier, I wouldn't be devistated if a tree reached out and bit it. I was torn between the first gen (60's/70's) Toyota Land...
I don't think you'll be in too much of a rush to sell them once they are up and running, dare I say semi reliable. Welcome.
Oh yeah almost forgotnopics. Let's see them.
I wish you luck in preventing this from happening again. A couple of years ago I was responsible for some delivery trucks for a grocery company. Our problem was gas theft. I tried locking caps which were eventually broken off with a big pipe wrench. A pair of tabs welded on either side of the...
You could try swapping the illumination bulbs for LEDs. Someone else on this site painted the inside of the cluster with (racial identifier) chrome spray paint. Just don't swap in LEDs for the GEN lights. They are part of the circuit apparently. I did and ended up rebuilding both alternators...
I had a similar event here in Southern California. We had a freak snow storm come through. I know four or five inches of snow is nothing compared to the northern areas, but for us, holy cow. I was out playing in the M1009 in the areas that actually had measurable snow with my wife and her...
I picked up a heater core from NAPA a couple of days ago. Box is marked made in MEXICO. Cost $27.99. Once my block heater arrives I'll install the new core, thermostat and heater. My wifey won't freeze anymore.
A little help please... I looked through the manual and couldn't find an answer. The manual says GEN 1 is left and GEN 2 is right. My question is, Am I standing in front of the truck or behind it to determine left and right? My understanding is right door passenger side, left door driver side...
Just got my cluster installed after replacing the fuel gauge. The needle was about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch past the full mark after refueling. I figure I'll wait till it gets to 1/2 then I'll refuel. Hopefully I will only pump 13 gallons! If not I'll at least get an idea of what the gauge is really...
I bought the same antenna base and whip from that guy/company in Israel. Shipping was about the same price as the whole set up, but well worth it. Lists for $80.00 but I got it for $70.00 (Make Offer) plus shipping. You get everything except the bracket for the side of the vehicle. I was worried...
Perhaps the "Chatterbox" would work. Motorcyclists use it to communicate with other riders. On ebay there are headsets available for the system. You might give that a look see.
