    M1009 tailgate issue

Hello fellow MVers. I have had an M1009 that I have put about 230,000 miles on as it's first civilian owner. It was my daily for 20+ years until I decide to drive a car that was easier on fuel. Anyway, I digress. AS you can imagine, parts wear out at times and must be repaired or replaced...

    Bed modification ideas

I am purchasing property that needs clearing. Obviously a drop side bed would be best but not all of us have one. From the former of a M35A2C with drop sides they are extra noisy going down the road but they do have their purposes / advantages. My M35A2 truck is with-winch. What I need is...

M1009 stock rims and suspension .. 31 or 33 tires?

Old thread but need some info on the M1009 wheel. GM 15 x 8JJ plain steel with 4 inch back spacing and "hub centric" in design from the factory. Obviously these are hard to find and getting expensive when you so. Has anyone purchased an after market wheel that is the correct sizing, etc. but...

    Trailer Plug

Below is a link for information only. Perhaps the military has the vendor plug two holes with a sealant. The same part number plug here has all holes drilled in the rubber insulator and of course all 12 pins are installed. Guess I will pull mine apart and see if the holes are drilled and...

    Trailer Plug

It seems that the trailer plugs for the 2.5 ton, 5 ton, M38, and others use the same 12 pin plug. There are 10 wires installed and 2 pins that are installed but the rubber insulator is not drilled for them. Does any know of a 12 pin plug like this that actually uses all 12 pins or at least has...

    MRAP wheel re-painting

With all the alterations out there for the M35A series trucks with regards to MRAP and other similar wheels / tires combinations, has anyone done anything to re-paint their wheels? The reason that I ask as probably 95% of all the MRAPS are desert sand colored as are the wheels. Mine are all...

Not sure who you are asking but mine are Hella manufactured lights and bulbs too. I think they are Swiss made but not sure. Could be German manufactured but really great quality. jimm1009

    M35a2 deuce headlights

I am chiming in waaaay late here. I purchased two Hella brand H4 headlights and installed 24 volt H4 bulbs in them. Really bright at road legal wattage and they are more focused due to being designed originally for European cars and trucks. I don't remember exactly how much they were but all...

    M35A2 transfer case shift lever

I was able to download the 364-24-1 and reviewed WP 0133 and also 134. Since I do not have a PTO on the transfer case the WP01345 is for me. I do not see any bushings for the lever. They identify new bolts, pin, and nuts but evidently there is not repair for the lever referenced as #10. I...

    M35A2 transfer case shift lever

Hello fellow OD Green blooded owners. lol I was messing around with installing by backup light switch and while I had the floorboard covers off I was going to check things out and lube those areas that are more easily accessible from the top side. Long story short, I noticed that there is a lot...

Curt receiver hitch for the Deuce, 18,000lb/1,800lb

I guess it is a moot point but I put my hitch up to mark the frame so that the hitch is as far aft as possible without touching the forward rivet head. It seems to work ok. and I placed by 1.5 inch receiver bar there just to eyeball the clearances for the OEM hitch, etc. and all looks well...

    M35 Instrument Panel Marking

Your registration number does not actually have the -0325 as the 0325 is part of the actual VIN or serial number but it may be the way someone else incorrectly did the paperwork. I have seen it before. Good luck in your mods. Us boys and our toys. lol Jim

    M35 Instrument Panel Marking

--------- Knarlie Dude like my son says. lol Good to know someone else is do that. I need to flip my rear hubs too from what most people say. I kind of like the dish out look in the rear but I guess that the front and back track lining up is more important in snow and mud. My truck is...
