I placed the order today via their website as he is closed Thursday through Sunday. I also ordered my 1 3/4 inch oil board stencil for my military registration number which starts in 04M. I am getting ready to register it in my home state of Indiana and their law is a duplicate of Louisiana's...
I purchased my truck with MRAP 390 radial tires on it. What you fellow owners of such M35's with these tire / wheel combinations running in the way of tire pressure. Obviously any DOT compliant tire has the serial number with date of manufacture and max fill at max gross psi rating on it but...
A couple of weeks ago I removed all of my gages, cleaned them, and replaced the 5-wire spider harness. I also made a ground harness to go from each electric gage to ground once it is reinstalled. Months ago when I drove the truck from Louisiana up to it's new home here near Louisville, KY the...
Thank you for the clue but I have checked with him and also Big Mike and a couple of others.
I think that I will check with one more source for new antique vehicle harnesses that states that they do military vehicle
harnesses too. If I fail then I will eliminate the connector and go with...
I feel ya there. I have been an A&P Mechanic for 40 years myself and mostly rotorcraft but I fully appreciate what you are saying. I think that my pins are soldered but will check it out,
Jim
There has been lots of discussion on wire harness replacement and I have a question.
I purchased a new front harness about a year ago. I fabricated my rear harness myself due to the weird high cost of this one with only 7 wires in it.
As most know there is a bulkhead connector in the center of...
I finally received an answer from him today. He did NOT flip the rear hubs when he installed the MRAP wheels and yes they are dish out.
I have all new bearings and seals and brake cylinders for when I remove the tire/wheel combination so a lot of work coming up.
I am also installing all new...
I do not know if he flipped the rear hubs. Since I do not have another 100% stock truck to look at can you tell me how to identify a flipped hub please. I am not going to do this for about three weeks but trying to get my duckies in a row.

I have a question for the group. When I purchased my M35A2 from the previous owner it had MRAP tires and wheels installed with adapter plates. The truck runs great down the road and at 2500 RPM and pure diesel I get about 63 MPH on flat or moderately sloped roads.
My ?? is this. My truck had...
Does anyone know what the factory wheel had for an offset on M1009 wheels. I purchased two new wheels from Stockton Wheel in CA and when I use them on front I need a 3/16 spacer or the inner weights are chipped off. The two GM original wheels do not but I have them mixed up and do not know...
It looks like the universal joint failed. I purchased a new one and it is nice and tight in the yoke.
I think that for the small cost I will order some new retention straps from the local Chevy dealer
and then when they arrive I can install the new universal and drive off into the sunset. :)
Jim
I need to purchase a new rear axle yoke, universal attaching straps, and universal joint. LMC Truck is back ordered for a time to be determined.
I don't dare look a the local dealer so I am asking if anyone has a good source for non-asian
manufactured replacement.
I also looked at Parts Geek...
Slightly off topic but close. How about a new winch cable? Mine is who knows how old and I have a 10 year old out of overhaul winch that I want to replace my really tired one with. I do however not want to put this old, nasty cable on my new-to-me winch. Am going to start pulling trees and...
All good ideas but my truck had MWRAP tires on it when I purchased it and it is a bear to steer even with the stock wheel. If I were to go to the A3 wheel it would require power steering for me to steer it now.
Actually my reason for asking about the box seat height is to set up a non-military...
Could someone that has a box seat for the driver measure the height off the floor to "Soldier A's" rear end please? I have twin spring seats and want to go to something different but I need to stay around the same height as the box seat due to "Dun-Laps Disease".
Jim
I recently came across a truck that had been retrofitted with
Ford F150 40/20/40 front seats. In this thread I read where Jeep Cherokee seats were installed back prior to 2011 and since I had one that was an 09, I do not care to go down that road.
Does anyone know what year range of F150 seats...
