If you can feeze contaiminted WO, the water should feeze and be easily removed. I personally use hydraulic filters and a gas powered water pump to filter WO. 50GPM so the tank fills up realtively quick. One you heat it and let it settle, I'd filter it 10 microns and then 1mic if you're selling...
I drove through the bank into an unplowed parking lot to clean my windshield, acted like I was still on the road. Then I was backing behind the shop at work so I could plow the lot and almost got stuck-ice under the 2' of snow that had just fallen. Threw it in 3rd low and got out. Can't wait to...
Ok, So I've been having an issue for a while where the transmission and PTO will grind with the clutch in and trying to shift. It seems to happen a lot if I throw it in neutral and cost and then try to get back into gear. I usually have to stop to get it in gear. If I'm stopped or using the PTO...
I would say the flame heater is allowing air into the system. Cap off the lines or connect them back to the injectors and seem if that cures it.
Loosen the bleeder screw on the secondary and final filters and fuel should spray, not dribble, out.
Loosen a connection to one of the injectors...
I'm running a little bit of WMO/WHO/two stroke mix from a boat. Seems a little sluggish at the top end, probably need more oil.
My buddy's dad is a plumber and has a couple drums of the red stuff from the oil tanks he's removed...
:ditto: You MUST pay road tax on ANY fuel used on the road.
It was the return lines. I disconnected #19 in the diagram and blew it out. Got fuel out of the bleeder after. Thanks for the diagram Warthog and everyone else for your help. I'm going to treat all my fuel with injector/fuel system cleaner from now on instead of once in a while and filter a...
Every once in a while but there wasn't any water. I stared at the beginning of the month when it was still above freezing so there isn't water frozen in the lines if that's what you're thinking.
I was driving my Deuce and it had a severe lack of power and would keep cutting out like it was staving for fuel especially when I shifted into 4th. I figured it was the filters again. So I changed out all the filters and went to bleed the system but I hardly get any pressure at the bleeder...
I haven't used CAT bolts but we use Lawson hardware at work for out collision repair equipment. Thicker nuts, thicker washers, thicker bolt heads, and just plain better quality. They are grade 8+ and grade 9 all laebled for your convience. They are expensive but the best I have seen.
Generic...
Yup, cheap chinese from HD.
I guess I better dig into it and check out the guts. Could also be why it didn't rip off, athlought I dont know why the bolts would've broken. They are chinese but it's still a grade 8 bolt.
From what it sounds like, a grade 2 bolt is the better replacement...
I already did that. Broke a handfull of grade 8 bolts. I know it wasn't smart but I figured if it breaks then it is time to upgrade anyways.
When I winched myself out with a snatch block it took about 1500 rpms to keep the truck from stalling.
Electric winches are certainly not just for...
I think the shear pin could be made to withstand a 15klb capacity, maybe even 20klb. Everything seems mounted plenty strong enough to handle the force. Need to find an alloy with a shear strength of 150% of the aluminum the pins are made out of.
And the disk brake kits.
Really, to be a suitable DD, there are only a few key things:
Turning: Add PS, youre use to it anyways though
Size: ------------------/\
Warm up: 5.9 swap
Speed/Driveablility: /\, adding OD, more RPMs, bigger tires
No heat: Add a multifuel heater
Sound: muffled 5.9...
Didn't take much to change your mind, not even a day. With 52s on there, youd be going well over 50 with the multi in it. The 5.9 spins a lot faster so 75 with the big tires wouldn't even be any issue, especially with OD on the auto transmission. Swap to disk brakes all around and your braking...
I'm in Uxbridge right on the border of RI and not far from CT. Bout 40 mins from Boston depending on traffic.
Anyone have more details about the Webster show? I've heard a few things locally but nothing location/time wise.
