Very interesting Dave. This may be the best compromise between cutting the frame for an inside the frame PS box and no mechanical connection with a full hydraulic system. Did you do this installation yourself ? I still have a lot more questions. Like, who has some information on how the...
Now that my truck is a 'Pickup', it's just like all of the other Chevy, Dodge, Ford diesel pickups with the exhaust at ground level. How can it get me in trouble?
What a cool looking truck. I'd like to do something like that on my next one. I suspect there's a bunch of us that would like to see some pictures of how you mounted the cab.
Tool box? I don't have a tool box in the way. I mounted my seats to a 5/16 plate, just like the plate to which the spring seat was mounted and used the original four mounting holes in the floor. Air seats need a very wide and solid mounting pattern as the seat belts are part of the seat and...
Wow. Quite a big wish list...that should take a few years. be sure and post pictures of your progress, we'll be watching. I've got to ask, WHY cross over steering?

Sounds like a great way to go...I'm still on the fence, need to pull the trigger soon. How about some pictures and any more information you can share with us.
thanks,
Greg
Interesting. Your still using the original manual box? How did you do that? Ram assist on the tie rod like some old Ford trucks? Sounds like an inexpensive way to do it if your happy with the results. Can you take some pictures ?
Thanks, Greg
You could still do a M35 Bobber ( because a BIG truck with BIG tires is really cool ) and when the trails get too tight and gnarley for a Bobber ( which they will ) unload your Mighty Mite out of the back and go where the jeeps won't go....just an idea
Very ambitious build and some great ideas. Way to stay motivated, it will be worth it for sure. I've been watching a broken down Mog near me for years. Now I really want to get my hands on it. Guess I had better up the ante
