    Weak battery and no start

It does sound like you are getting 24V to places where it should not be. Use just one battery to feed only the 24V side of things. As long as you do not try to start it 12V won't hurt the 24V items. First thing check that diamond shaped bus to see if it is getting voltage when that 12V feed...

    Weak battery and no start

Fuses open for a reason, mostly to prevent equipment damage and fires. Are the new alternators isolated ground units? The drivers side can be case grounded but the passenger side must be isolated ground. Did you check them with ohm meter before connecting them? A case grounded alternator...

M1009 - Hard starting when Cold

Yes. along with wally world and most other hardware and auto parts stores. This is what you are looking for along with a crimp tool and some heat shrink to make things neat. Female disconnect 22-18 gauge .250 Fuel related issues can keep a truck from starting or make it hard to start. Did...

    Weak battery and no start

The only option I see is to physically trace wires. There is only one place to get 24V from and that is the positive post of the back battery. Perhaps a 24V wire and and a 12V have rubbed together until they made conductor to conductor contact and you are back feeding 24V into the rest of the...

Download CUCV TMs Here - Where to Download CUCV TMs

The CUCV TMs can be downloaded here: CUCV TMs Courtesy of Jatonka No more "I don't have", "I can't find" excuses for not having the CUCV Technical Manuals. They are full of troubleshooting and parts information and are a MUST HAVE for any CUCV owner. If you own a CUCV and you do not have...

M1009 - Hard starting when Cold

I second the motion. IF you are short on wire you can grind the 60G spades down from .250" to .187" to make them fit the stock glow plug connectors.

    Weak battery and no start

You cannot troubleshoot electrical problems without an electrical meter. Go to wally world and buy a volt/ohm meter and use it to verify that you have 24V where you think you have it (rather than assuming that based solely on bulbs blowing and brightness, fan speed, horn wont stop). If you...

    rotating drawbar ring on m105a2

What I have found is after loosening the nut hitting the lunnette on the front (ring) driving straight into the frame (towards the back) seems to loosen it the quickest and easiest.

    Motor let loose this AM!

Bummer. Hope it is not as bad as it sounds.

    rotating drawbar ring on m105a2

Been done many times. Search recovery threads. After loosening the nut hit it straight on (front to back) with a BFH. I am talking a 12# sledge hammer not a drilling hammer.

M1009 - Hard starting when Cold

There is a procedure to test all of the inputs and outputs of the control card to make sure they are good. If they are and you are having trouble replace the card. If one of the inputs is bad the card will will not work correctly (garbage in = garbage out). If your glow plugs are stock 24V...

    Fuel sticker violation in NC

I am not a lawyer but I believe the biggest issue is 'motor carrier' versus 'private vehicle'. Some states may not make a distinction. IFTA The International Fuel Tax Agreement allows motor carriers to...

24v to glow plugs, 60G's still ok?

Correct. No voltage drop at the glow plugs means there is no current flow. As DonK pointed out if there is no current flow it is most likely because all of your glow plugs are open (ruined). Even if the resistor were shorted, good glow plugs would drop the voltage (at least for a while). A...

M1009 - Hard starting when Cold

If you are not showing a voltage drop during the glow plug cycle your glow plugs are either not getting power (bad wiring or bad control) or they are getting power and are not using it (bad glow plugs).
