Qestioned GL as to source of their info.

Maybe it was the first winner who forgot to pick it up who was trying to buy it a second time and drove the price up in the process?

    MEP-002 problems

Did you download the TMs and read them? I am not an expert by any means but I do know that idling the generator destroys the voltage regulator. I do believe running the unit without batteries is not good for the charging system. You would have to change the starter to 12V and the charging...

low voltage on voltmeter after wash

Booster? Do you mean resistor? Perhaps the water shorted something out causing fuse link(s) to open. Water and electricity do not mix. Perhaps the pressure dislodged/damaged something. Did you check all of your electrical connections? Have you downloaded the TMs and followed the...

If you need a good home for that dome I volunteer to care for it. Do no know what it is or what it is for but I assume some kind of GPS antenna.

    Cucv radios??

There are no channels authorized in the CB Radio Service above 27.405 MHz or below 26.965 MHz so the RT-524 will not work on the CB frequencies unless you modify it to do so but then it would not have an FCC type certification for CB use. You could use a modified radio to listen but not...

    Cucv radios??

The range depends on the antenna type, antenna height, transmit frequency, transmit power, terrain and atmospheric conditions. By law a CB is limited to 4 watts so most ham gear is far more powerful. Galaxy 10 Meter Radios : 10 Meter Mobile Radios The question is who do you want to talk to...

    Problem Starting my M1009

Did you do the doghead starter relay modification? Are the batteries fully charged and load tested? Did you clean and tighten all connections in the starting circuit including the battery connections? Others have found a bad battery cable as the source of their starting woes.

    Watch out for straps

Back a few years a coworker (coworker A) had a car that for some reason he wanted a coworker (coworker B) to tow some short distance in the parking lot (would not start ??? don't know for sure why now). So coworker A hooked a chain with a hook to his vehicle and coworker B hooked the other end...

    Gen Two Light

Because at 12.5V the back battery is not being charged. If you search warthog has provided (numerous times) very specific information on troubleshooting the alternators. For example: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/cucv/66869-alternator-1-not-getting-excited.html#post800711 Did you download the...

    Occasional Starting Problem

We do want to know. Wiring just takes patience, you can do it. Clean all of the connections that you touch to remove any corrosion and cover liberally with conductive or non-conductive grease as needed when you put them back together. There was member on here who had light problems and it was...

    Picture/parts info

I should have taken pictures of it before installing the radio gear on it. Matter of fact I should have documented the installation but I had family over that day and was hurrying to get done and button up the dash.

    No Lights

Tkhawk01, Thanks for the update. Poor electrical connections can read just fine with a meter (virtually no load) but when a load passes through the poor connection (current flow) a voltage drop develops across the poor connection robbing downstream equipment of the correct voltage for proper...
