I just got back from picking up a M1061a1 from hooks, tx. But, its not the one I won. Someone screwed up which pictures went with what trailer and I bid and won the trailer in pic 1 Event 5068 lot 7875 for a winning bid of $890. Well, after driving the 700+ miles to get it, I find trailer in pic...
No, you would not call it a KC-130, It was a J model, can't remember if that designates it as a tanker or not but i can find out when i go to work. There are more models of that airplane than letters of the alphabet so its hard to remember what each one does, let alone figure out which parts fit...
Ha Ha, thats funny my wife does the same thing!!! She says the rumble of the motor is just so relaxing. I coulda swore i snapped a pic of her passed out, i'll have to see if i can find it.
Welcome from Warner Robins area.
I was told that you don't need a CDL if its not for commercial use, that only a class "A" licence was required, i have not personally checked on that yet but have been meaning to. Oh, and the deuce is rated to haul 10,000# hwy, 5,000# cross country, but that...
TaylorTradingCo, do you have any close up pics of how/where you cut both the 105 tongue and the deuce frame? yours looks cleaner than some i've seen and i need to do the same for my m109 camper, thanks. Greendog, sorry for the hijack.
I'm also waiting for my invoice for one of the m1061a1 trailers that ended recently, event 5068, lot 7875. planning on pulling it with my 3/4 ton dodge, anybody think thats a bad idea?
Well at least score 1 for steelsolders vs. GL forklifts. When i went to pick up a trailer a couple weeks ago the brakes were locked up on it and the guy tried pulling it out with the safety chain hooked to the cage thing right behind the forks, well the empty weight of the trailer is over 10k...
I've found with mine if loaded with the tailgate up and locked, side flex is almost non-existant, but if loaded with it down it's kind of a pita to get it closed and latched.
Got cold again so all we managed to do was get the block-off plates done and bolted down. Pulling those diffs opened up so much more room, fitting some water tanks between the frame should be alot easier now.
Well it had water saturated fiberglass but its long gone to the dump, i'm going to have spray foam insulation put back in to help seal everything up and to help with sound proofing, plus its just a way better insulator than anything out there.
