To make it easy, as pm's wont mach. Print off a pic of the TM with the part in need and take it to the dealer with you.
Why would I need to re-read your post? The hoist is not in its final resting spot, I only get about 2 hours a day to work on it so the rails are not fininshed. I set it on the truck because the snow was gone for a day and I had to take advantage of that. Keep in mind, I am doing this by myself...
#3, Check the installed height
If you have access to a straight edge (a real one) Pull you rocker arms and set it across the valve stems. See if there all even. If there not you obviously have a problem, The intalled height could still be off if they are even, but check across them first.
Your going to have to be more descriptive.
Gas, diesel, big block, small block all have the same bellhousing pattern. Is it hitting something that isnt alowing it to but up to the engine? are you having problems with the bolt holes?
