Friend at church wanted several trees down. Got the liitle ones last week, but got the 3 biguns Saturday. Had plenty of help, but who thinks to stop and take pics while working?? We didn't.
There was one large white pine that needed to be pulled while cutting; the Deuce made easy work of...
I bought 4 A1's back in April and 3 came with 2 kinds of rear legs. Finally took the more stable looking one and mounted it on my M101. It will latch in the vertical position for greater stability when the trailer is standing alone.
The other two legs only latch in the stowed position and...
Finally got the sides on the M37 finished. Sides rails were easy as I was given the metal posts. I had to fabricate the front metal using old troop seat metal off a Deuce. Not to spec, but it works. Put 3 coats of paint on the wood.
The M101A1 is a 1953 model with the old whale tail...
Great small-town American Parade in Glen Alpine, NC. The parade is Monday at 10am. We usually have a good turn out of MV's.

Put a (very) temporary front pintle on the M37. When we first loaded the M37 and M101 onto the civy trailer to take to the Veteran’s Salute, I pulled them straight on, but I didn’t like all the weight on the tongue. So I backed her off. I didn’t like the idea of backing on with that...
Got this email from Bradley Ingles today. We have done this 3 years running, but I cannot make it this year - work commitment.
Contact Bradley if interested.
Just a friendly reminder that the SALUTE TO VETERANS celebration at the Hickory Crawdads is Friday, May 27th. Gates open at...
Took my youngest son and one of his friends to Macon to get 4 M101A1's that GL recently awarded me. All went well. The fork lift operator tried, but we could not get all 4 trailers on my long trailer, so we stacked one. Worked fine.
All 4 have sides, bows, and covers, good tires, and are...
PICS of Vietnam Wall Memorial - Marion, NC
Spoke last night with Dan Toney, who is on the committee to bring the Moving Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall to Marion, NC, May 11-14, 2011. Click link below, then click calendars, then "map" for location. The actual site is the YMCA Soccer field. Take...
Needed to work on the laundry tailer today so I pulled it up with the M37 in low. Did fine, but the kids (all-knowing teens) wondered if I'd end up in the woods when I tried backing the trailer back down to its usual resting place. Nope. But I hate to think how the combination would do on the...
The Old Fort, NC Car Show on April 30 wants some Military Vehicles. They were very interested in our participation. Should be a good show. Dan Toney said they have many Vietnam Vets and are having The Moving Vietnam Wall come for a visit in May. They want us there for that too, but no date...
Winston-Salem, NC is having an Airshow Sept. 9,10,11 and they are interested in having a military vehicle display. They don't have a lot of details yet of how much room they would have for us. We'll get more info as the date approaches.
I already have 2+ M101A2's, but I've been wanting an A1 to match the M37. And it seems like prices for M101's have doubled on GL. But I found this 1953 A1 on ebay last week, and nobody else bid on it, and it was only 80 miles away in Charlotte, NC.
Has good rubber (the tires will end up on...
I've been looking for the right trailer to pull behind the Deuce. My laundry trailer just wasn't right, not long enough, nor easy to load. Got a good deal on this one. My son pulled it home empty with his Ranger so it's not too heavy for a big pick up and it has the adjustable lunette for the...
Just heard that we are invited to be a part of the Morganton-Lenoir, NC flyin Dec 11 from 1000-1600. Last year we had a good turnout. See last year's thread.

Have not heard any other details yet.
Still have a few small things to do (after I rolled the driver window up I saw I had forgotten to paint the door window frame), but for the most part the M37 is ready. It came in very good shape, but it was pink. I still need to build the winch it came with (currently in 100 pieces), so I put...
Made a VERY quick 2 hr. run at 6am to Jim Henry's truck parts to pick up tires for my M1061. Did not have time to look at everything he has, but he has a lot of miscellaneous parts. He talked as if he might maybe come to the GA rally. Give him a call to see if he has what you need and see if...
Because of budget cuts, I was switched to a different school this year, but the Deuce is as popular as ever for a parade.
Patton's Homecoming was Friday and I hauled the girls' Golf and Tennis teams. We were supposed to have the Volleyball team as well, so I brought the trailer, but they...
Didn't know my wife had the camera out, but she took these as the boys and I were testing the M37 on the hill behind the house last Sunday. We'd had plenty of rain, so the hill was slick. The M37 was able to creep right up it in 4-wheel high just a bit faster than an idle without hardly...
Bought my "new" M37 over Labor Day weekend. Body is in great shape and it RAN fine. Did the routine maintenance and a bit of body prepping for painting over the faded fire department red (Pink just seems wrong for an M37).
Anyway, I drove it practically everyday down behind the house, and...
Will it still be pink for Georgia??
I was looking for a Jeep, maybe a M38A1, to use on trails with my sons, but found this M37-B1 instead. I love my Deuce but it simply does not fit on the trails around here. I spent more than I had planned on the M37, but I think I got a good MV. It was...
