Me thinks they're trying to take your $$$.... if they are quoting you $3,500, go find someone else

    Dually tire question

Those may have some flexible sidewalls that you might not care for. A Toyo or BFG 255 85 16 mud tire fits dually wheel very well.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Wheel Vintiques 16x8 OEM style, BFG KM2 315 75 16..... the tires only measured out to 34in tall mounted with no weight on them.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

My 27MT had been completely gone through with all of the correct 24v parts. For some odd reason it kept frying a bendix and we could not figure out why.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

The 24 volt 28MT starter is installed on the 85 M1008. It doesn't turn as fast as the 27MT, but as long as it starts without issues I don't care.

    3/4 ton axle swap

Aaand that's why I want to eventually swap the gears to a 4:10 set up. With a BFG KM2 or Toyo MT 255 85 16 I can run 64-65mph at 2500 rpm. That way I can keep from getting ran over on the interstate and still have low gearing for when I need it. My 79 K20 has this set up and works just fine.

    3/4 ton axle swap

That 1st to 2nd gear shift on a SM465 might bog down the 6.2 diesel....

    Starter Question

My 27MT has the correct bendix in it along with the correct solenoid... and for whatever reason it has a healthy appetite for any bendix that goes in there. At this point I'm tired of messing with it. After talking to the shop they ordered a 28MT starter for me. Idk the brand name, but it is new...

    28MT Starter

Anyone use one of these in the 24V version?

Fuel issue , bad injection pump?

Yup, the parts house sent #MF0030 which was the wrong pump. The correct CHFP906 has been ordered. Once again thank you for the vital info. ** the inj pump was just rebuilt, so I'm guessing it was somehow pulling a little bit of fuel through the line🤷‍♂️

Fuel issue , bad injection pump?

Thank you for the info. The lift pump on my 86 m1008 had to be changed and it's running terrible. I'm already guessing the wrong pump is on it.

Is there a difference in part numbers?
