I'm assuming that is what happened since the first shop to rebuild it put 12V solenoid on it. Needless to say it's going to a different shop...

Is the bendix on a 24v starter different than on a 12v starter? My 24v starter has been completely rebuilt and within 6mos it needs bendix #3..... what the🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

The starter on my 85 M1008 has been completely rebuilt. Within less than 3mos it needed another bendix. Guess what now? It needs another bendix. Grrr...

That's what I have to do with mine; roll forward, put in neutral, roll back a bit, hold steering wheel straight and pop it out of 4wd. And if I don't have the steering held just right, it will not come out of 4wd lol

I have found that mounting the base of the air cleaner to where it draws air from the driver's side reduces the drone. At least it does on my 86 M1008..
