In the process of moving a winch from one truck to another. Is it OK to re-use the bolts? Have heard that fine thread bolts should not be re-used once torqued down.
I ask because although i didnt have to use a torch to remove them, just alot of air, they do look kinda stretched in places...
I pay $30 every 6 months for liability on one and $70 every 6 months for full coverage ($10k replacement value) on my other deuce through Sate Farm. M35A2 is clearly listed as model on the policy. My agent even came out and took several pictures of them all so they know what they are insuring.
I am also doing this. Do you re-use the bolts from the donor truck or buy new ones? I have always thought best not to re-use fine thread bolts that have been torqued down. Would like to know what you experienced winch installers do.
Those large tires are the way to go. I can do 60 on the speedo, which is 66 on gps, and still turn less than 2500 rpm.:driver:
Kinda fast for a 40 year old truck with single circuit brakes so I keep it around 50 on the speedo, better mpg that way and lower rpm's on that old engine.8-)

No big deal but was curious about the different front turn/park light styles. Most trucks I have seen have just 1 per side, but a few, including one of mine, have 3 in 1 assembly on each side.
The 3 in 1 assembly is made up of a front facing turn/park, a rear facing turn, and a side...
I had a great 4 day weekend, used the time off to make a 600 mile round trip to bring home deuce number 2. You guys weren't kidding when you said this hobby was addictive!
Thanks to MO MV man I am the proud owner of a bobbed 1965 Kaiser M35A2 w/whistler turbo. I was always a traditionalist...
Anyone know where I can find a pto cover plate and gasket for a M35A2? I am getting ready to remove the pto and need something to put in it's place so I can still drive it.
Thanks guys for all the replies. If it ever quits raining I will go out and check again. Only plug I have been able to find was at the bottom so I assume it is the drain. The TC is the only thing I havn't been able to check the fluid level of and its starting to bug me!aua
I spent a good part of the weekend looking through various TM's, but I still can't find a picture of what i'm looking for. I have found all the inpection ports for everything else except the dang tranfer case. Anyone have a pic they could post, or an accurate description to help me? I know im...
I didnt see farm tags listed on the TN website. I own 10 acres, a tractor, and a bushog so guess I could be a farmer.
Will definately check into them. If not antique should work. Every trip could be a maint run, just may be hard explaining a load of wood in the back!
