The m36 is the long bed version of the deuce. He may be talking about the sprague geared front transfer case instead of the air engaged locker. The sprague locks the front when the rears start to slip. Pain in the but to rebuild from what I hear.

You have the sprague gear front axle. If the rear tires slip the fronts will engage, if its working properly.

Are you pulling the lever out of the back of the leg to release and raise the leg up. You do know it swivels up right? I pull mine with my 2wd suburban all the time.

Mine does the exact same thing. The one that was in the truck would only go to one side then stop. I got another used one to swap out and the same thing. I will swap out the left and right and blow out all the lines and we will see what that does.
