I didn't get to hang out with the guys Saturday night even though I did camp. Leaving the house at 4:00 in the morning I fell right to sleep. But did get to drink coffee and talk Sunday morning. Great bunch of guys. Will need to leave Friday morn next year.
Couple questions. Did you just use a putty knife to scrape off the old insulation on the cab top, and what type of glue did you use to mount the gi sleeping mats? Thanks in advance.
I just called Oreilly auto parts and they just put their U1luh battery's on sale today for $21.95. I believe someone said they bought these for their retrofit kit. The closest advanced auto parts is 98 miles away.
Got up early this morning with a few tasks I wanted to accomplish on the deuce. First was install a3 backup and clearance lights on my a2. Second was mount my alpine GPS I had laying around. And lastly a outlet for the GPS or any accessory like a cell phone. Got the lights all mounted on the...
My deuce is leaking fluid from where the rear driveshaft goes into the rear axle. I have removed the vents, soaked them in brake cleaner and blew them out. Took it out for a drive and I believe it's still leaking. Not a lot but have the Texas SS rally next month and I'm sure if Murphy has...
Xtra tall m105a2
I finished welding up new longer uprights to the corner bows so I could mount my NOS "tall" cover. Going to put in some more horizontal slats above the front racks so the wind doesn't beat the front of the cover to death. Next is a coat of paint on the trailer.
The black and white one would be good. Looks like a 5 ton with maybe a multifuel motor. That way you would have the luxury of mixing fuels. The other one is an older deuce with a gas motor. I like the 5 ton.
Oh now I see what you mean. The void in the middle. I think I will do the brace like I said above and a few more-headboard slats going horizontally across the front.
Thats a good point. I will need to do something to tie it all together. Maybe a brace going from about midway up the first upright to the base of the second at a 45 degree angle. What do you think?
I got an xtra tall cargo cover from a buddy of mine that was 20" taller that the original one. So I needed to raise the uprights. I drilled out the welds that attached the bow corners to the original uprights. Cut 10pcs of 1 1/2 square tubing 34 3/4" long notched the bottom on a cnc mill and...
