Is this a kit or multiple part numbers to make this happen? Have a photo or two of the new system? Mine is 48,000 miles and original from 1985. There's a little rust on the muffler welds and would prefer to replace at some point soon.
On a side note, I have a 1995 Land Rover Discovery 1 w/...
Thanks for all the details. My '38 FBW has semiphores for turn signals, but also some small and very vintage turn signals on the fenders. These were clearly not stock, but work better as they don't confuse other drivers.
Ah, so you also have a light bar in red. Any legal issues with running a light bar? Is that original to the vehicle? Also, I'm guessing yours was not a K-9. I'd posted a thread asking for K-9 marked M1009's but I guess they're pretty rare. Thanks for the shot!
Got the shackles and rear license plate lighting. Still no luck with a bridge plate. Here's a photo of the lighting. They're new Hella Euro tail light assemblies. Two lights for the long tag....

PM done. BFG A/T's, shackles, brush guard, and pintel hook installed. Chevy emblem painted, license plate moved. I still need a bridge plate and light above the rear license plate. Shackles are from a local truck supply shop and made in the USA.
What am I missing?
Thanks!
Thanks again Mike. Went right on. Also re-mounted the license plate using rubber rivnuts. Nice thing about them, they seal the newly drilled hole. Will run a wire and light tomorrow.
Still looking for a bridge plate and shackles! :deadhorse:
Ok, so I have this great little German Shepherd Schutzhund named "Sonja von Botropp" and thought I'd mark my M1009 as a USMC K9 MP unit. Seemed reasonable since I have the perfect prop, and she LOVES to ride in the car. Can anyone help with some photographic evidence of what it might look...
I wonder how many neighbors of ours keep quiet simply because they think we have a screw loose. Or perhaps the world is so full of beta-males that when the alphas put military surplus in their driveways, our neighbors hope it will inject a little manhood back into our culture. (pet peeve of...
Greetings,
So The Maddawg Mike was kind enough to stop by and sell me a proper trailer pintel for my M1009. Currently my license plate is mounted where this pintel belongs and will need to be moved. Can anyone provide photographic evidence of where this tag belongs? Thanks much!
