Trying to get a title for my truck. ARG!!!

Personally I would thnk so but I am not an expert on your model. Hemmings Motor News is a really thick magazine and is certainly a good place to start on finding restroation information and vendors but there are probably forums now for your make and model too. I would consult with a shop that...

    Deuce help!!!

I just talked to Justin and he is rolling for now on a temporary fix and will make permanent repairs when he returns and time allows. He is showing his "O.D. Green" off to some older Vets and that is really good stuff! They are having a blast and our Vets deserve no less than the very best we...

Trying to get a title for my truck. ARG!!!

The serial number on the data plate is what they call the VIN now days. A modern day US VIN is 17 digits and yours is not, of course. The serial number is what the title should have on it. My Willys CJ2A is a 5 digit serial number. My 1930 model A Ford car is a 4 digit serial number. If you...

    Deuce help!!!

Does anyone know if he is fixed and going? Inquiring minds (and almost neigbors) need to know. I'm only 90 miles away. jimm1009

    Deuce help!!!

AceHigh, without hijacking, what is the point of outer versues inner? Is this an attempt to see if inner or outer bearing is failing or is this a sign of another problem? Trying to learn as I go too. jimm1009

    Deuce help!!!

As bad as this sounds there is a grease formulated for brakes components. No not the shoes but the pivot points and friction areas of the adjusting cams, etc. It is important to have these all cleaned and lubricated as well as having reliable retraction springs. You probably know this but I...

    Won my first M35 Today

"There is a Sucker born everyday". Now with that said, congradulations on your purchase. You are now officially terminally ill with the O.D. Green disease for which there is no cure. Let's see more pictures when you can. Don't forget to read your TMs and if you need help acuiring...

You MUST have an MV, you NEED to have an MV. Just reherse that line and it will get easier to take the plung! Oh, and since you have two...

    IP pump Rebuild Question

If you do ship it out make sure and tell them that you want military fuel pressure as it is higher than a civy pump. Kind of like a 4 barrel over a 2 barrel. jimm1009

    CUCV vs TREE

Pull the zipper out of the seal first and then cut the junk yard seal all the way around with a new razor blade knife. No reason to save the junker's seal and then you can possible save yours or just use a new seal when you install the glass. Go real slow and don't try to pry it out with any...

    2010 VIN Info Thread

'77 or newer M105A2 I have a M105A2 produced after 1977 as it has two air hoses. Definetly not a M105A2C - no vacuum lines or fittings Came back from Germany 12/2007 Unit shipping trailer was LSU Eygelshoven with shipping date listed as 01/14/2008. Shipping documents list the following...

    M105A2 Brake help needed.

He was exactly right...hit the nail on the head. Boy dooooo IIII feel STUPID! But silly me, as I have to ask. Why does the TM not make mention of this trivial little matter? Immagine unhooking your empty trailer for the day and you need to move it 2 feet by hand cause it is off the mark by...

    M105A2 Brake help needed.

Just got off the phone with Lee and it seems that the air system will retain a charge for a while and must be drained through the sump valve (drain valve) in order to free wheel the wheels and push the trailer by hand. Wonderful news for me but I will be exploring some other minor issues for GP...

    M105A2 Brake help needed.

I need to speak with someone as soon as you are avialable on troubleshooting the brakes on a '77 or newer M105A2 trailer with the dual air lines and reserve air tank, etc. Is there anyone out there that has real experinece in maintaining these model trailers? Brakes seem to work find until...

Is this Lock rim ok to remove from truck?

If you are running duals you can mount the recently changed tire on the outside so it is facing in and air it up that way too. If it were to let go it would only scrap the outer face of the inner tire and possbily make you jump a little but no harm would come to anyone that way. jimm1009

M105A2 trailer but not really so...?

Kenny, The "delivery date" and "inspected" blocks are neatly machine stamped just like the serial number is and all is very easy to read. For an original 1965 data plate it is not in too bad a shape. I thought that all the A2's had two air lines as I did not pick up the difference in the TM...

M105A2 trailer but not really so...?

I've been out of town for a funeral and even then I found it impossible to escape MV's entirely. The next door neighbor to my Aunt that recently passed away has a May 1965 (delivery date & inspected date) Johnson Furnace Company, Bellevue, OH M105A1 trailer. The glitch is this, the data plate...

    Front wheel hop while braking?

Goodpoint above. Forgot to mention that the pivot points on the front axle can go bad since they are sealed units from GM unlike the aftermarket ones that actually come with grease fittings. jimm1009

    Front wheel hop while braking?

If your rotors are warped but not too badly they may possibly be trued up. Try taking them to your favorite drum and rotor turning facility and ask them to check the rotors. Autonzone and O'rielly's and Carquest are three for example. They need the rotors still installed on the hubs and the...
