What is the voltage adjustment screw type on a 923a2 alternator?

Yeah the cover and adjustment screw are basically on the bottom side at about the 8'oh clock position of the Alt closest to the engine on all of the A2's I've looked at so everything is basically done by feel because you just cant get your head/eyes between the frame/hoses & the alt to see...

Mntsnow's recovery and building of The Beast

Stock it was as the gov keeps it low for the newbie soldiers. The 8.3 6cta motor is well known to handle rpms into the mid 3.5k range without issue

Mntsnow's recovery and building of The Beast

None at all. Just have to be smart about it. Keep the cap on so no direct flame into potential flammable fluids. Heat only the part you want to expand a touch and of course don't heat it to red hot levels...Just some heat to help free it up. Working on diesel fuel tanks is much safer than...

Mntsnow's recovery and building of The Beast

Well today was a productive day. First I finally got the rusty fuel strainer section off of the fuel tank (took Heating it with Mapp gas torch AND an air chisel to get it to finally turn!) It had some type of thread sealant/pipe dope on it.. Anyways inside the tank looks good! (whew!)...

So who has bumped the power on a 6CTA cummins

Well I have to say I am totally happy that I went with the Pakbrake 3-4k GSK # hp10029. I used just the 3k set of spring and set it exactly like they suggested (.040-.050) I ended up with .042 and .046 for my settings) and my idle is perfect and my RPM hits 2800 spot on! Here is a short vid of...

Relatively new to the group here with the recent addition of my M923 that I will be taking off-roading this summer instead of my F250....I say the larger vehicle get the right of way on the narrow trails OR whomever has the easiest opportunity to make way does so 2cents

    new step ladder mounted

Depends on how you go about mounting it...If on the tailgate then the tailgate needs to be at the 90. If mounted to the bed then the tailgate needs to be completely down. (note that if done to the bed then it does take up space when "stored") I have yet to purchase one for my 5 ton but the one...
