I'll even give you better pics of the motor mounts.......and the measurements if you need them. I do have to get off my butt and post a thread about it......been meaning to just been so dang busy with getting the motor done.....driving it home tomorrow, so maybe should start the tread about the...
Didn't need proof of the law when I have driven MANY of my vehicles after buying them(I have owned over 30 vehicles in the last 25 years) and have been pulled over a few times with them different times.......all with the same first question from the cop........"where is your plate".....I give...
You probably have the larger bow sides.......as I do remember I was able to get 2 of them from an 8' board......and the 3/4" will work.......has some slop in it....as Mike said they are actually 15/16" thick.......you can start off with deck boards and cut them to the width you need......you...
Wait till I get it done.......gonna have a battery box, jerry can holder with pump and filter housing....and work spot for putting your tools and loose hardware......I have it set up so you can still mount the radiator and test fire the motor on the stand........very easy to pick up/deliver a...
I can say with an absolute positive that you CAN drive home here in Indiana with only a bill of sale(actually you have 30 days).....NO TAGS..........not sure on the insurance thing as I always at least call my agent when I am at the vehicle I am driving home.....don't want to get in an accident...
I did mine "in frame" my homemade engine stand "frame"
This is a before picture.......too dang busy to get a done pictureaua and now it is in the truck, so I'll just have to get a pic of that.........it's SOOOO PURTY!!
You don't have to get 24 volts from the battery you are jumping from.........I've jumped my deuce a bunch off a 12 volt car when I first got it and was working out the alternator bug it had(bought it and didn't know it had a sporadic alternator)
All you have to do is hook into one of the 24...
As I just finished a total rebuild on my motor......fired it up today:jumpin: I can tell you that it will be a bit of time. Anyway, one thing you want to do is see if your block is marked "TD" on the passenger side just a little forward of the data tag....it will be raised letters that are cast...
Weather I want to drive on a truck with old hoses or not is besides the point........with this type of destruction being done, it at the minimum makes recovery a pain in the butt. I would not want to even try to fire up the truck.......or might not even be able to fire up the truck to load...
I can vouch for that!!! any one remember the group of "A" holes that ran up into my tent and over some of my stuff at the fall rally?.........I was about 5 minutes from driving my truck over them:twisted:
For the return line at the tank, why not change the fitting on the top of the tank........use whatever fitting you need for what ever line you want to run.......I'm planning on running AN lines on most of my fuel system, the tank threads are common pipe threads, you can get any brass fitting you...
The tank can be used....you are going to a multi fuel so gas won't hurt anything.........you will need to install a fuel shut off cable, the one on the dash that hooks to the Injection pump so you can shut down the motor.
Just to clear something up........the 15.50 tire is 46.6" tall........IT WILL FIT ON A DEUCE, even with BOTH axles........they are the same as a 395.....I am 100% sure of this.
Now as to the original question of whether that particular combo will work..........I don't know, you will have to...
You should be just fine then......sound like you are familiar with running the large tires......the only other thing I can think of is the 15.5's are a bit heavier, and the side walls are a bit harder/stiffer, so a little harder to mount on the stock rims, but fit the same as your 395's.
They are the same as the 395's that you see alot of people running.......you can run them on the stock rims.......although, most will tell you NOT to run them it is unsafe......KEEP that in mind.
I had 395's on my truck on stock rims(you can see pics in my album).......when you want to make a...
