Man the UPS guy must be worn out today.........LOTS of BIG HEAVY boxes on my door step........looks like I just might get this dang motor built in time after all!!!
Let me be the first to say........WHAT ARE YOU DOING????? You are SUPPOSE to be on VACATION!!!!:cookoo:
BUT........ THANKS for looking out for us![thumbzup]
Been driving mine everyday........in the 2 years I drove my first one I put close to 30,000 miles on it......about half of those were long hauls........one being tow-baring my new one home from Ohio. Can't wait to get the motor built in this new one........
A cheaper alternative to the military alternator is to go with a civi unit......you can contact TmAmerica, he makes the brackets to run this set up.........in the pic I actually have both kits he makes so I have both a 24 volt civi alternator(bottom) and the 12 volt(top) add on kit........way...
Not to seem like I am fighting.........but I also have 2 rear jerry cans mounted in the same mud flap spot......had them for over a year, been to Haspin off roading with them......never bumped them, if you were going to hang them up on something you are going to rip your mud flaps off...
found it.........if this does not up load you can go to: http://www.jatonkam35s.com/jatonkaM35sTMdownloadpage.htm and download the TB 43-0209 file it is the manual you are looking for.
While somewhere I have the correct manual you are looking for.....complete..........maybe this link will help you for now on your journey: http://olive-drab.com/od_mvg_camo_patterns.php
OK so looking at your photos......you are 100% in the right spot......now with the light switch on the dash in the correct spot, you say you can put a jumper wire between the wires on the brake switch and your brake lights light up? if that is the case than it has to be the switch it...
correction: I noticed you said you jumped the wires and the brake light do light up so not a wire problem......if the switch is bad there will be no continuity......or as stated above in the wrong spot.
If you have a multi meter handy and a second set of hands(or feet) you can put it on ohms and check for continuity through the switch......put the meter on the 2 leads and it will give a reading......have the extra set of feet push on the brakes and see what the reading is then, if you have...
Both my alternators are CIVI AC/Delco units.......the 24 volt one is a 60 amp and the 12 volt......not sure it is just a regular GM alternator(60-100amp I think). One way around the battery thing.......by chance is your batteries like the ones in the deuce.....HUGE things that take up a bunch of...
I am not 100% sure with using a converter.......however I run 2 alternators on my truck(deuce) and have BOTH grounds running straight to frame. the only thing I keep separate is the +(positive) wire. I am running a 12 volt battery and the 24 volt batteries........all the 12 volt accessories run...
I am working on a deal in Texas......however I do not live ANY where NEAR Texas and the item I am looking into is there and needs to be picked up in person. I am only after part of this item, and am willing to give the rest of it to whom ever is interested in helping me out. I will pay for the...
Things are looking up for my truck[thumbzup].........I got the head gaskets on route for the LDS and also got the trailer modified and bracketed today, just need to finish welding everything up and Monday set the motor in........OH for those not in the know of my mad/sick idea that George helped...
