Putting a Deuce to work for me?

He needs a CDL. If he wants to haul a trailer with 10,001+ GVWR, he needs a class A CDL.

Putting a Deuce to work for me?

You are looking at using it for business. You can't use "collector plates". You need commercial weighted plates. Sounds like you need on the safe side of ~28K of weight. That will cost you roughly around $400 a year. Plus commercial insurance. Yes, you need a CDL - you're using it for...

    Master cylinder problem??

$125 is way too much. OD Iron sells New stock M/C's for $81. And new stock rebuild kits for $25... Are you sure the master cylinder is your problem? Not an Air-Pak Issue?

    OD iron rim?

Ah, good find. I could not find the MVR-55. It's not in the PDF copy of the title manual I have. I agree, my example doesn't fit. However, stating that a vehicle that has a plate = vehicle meets fed requirements is still untrue. Automotive manufacturers can plate prototype vehicles... I am...

    OD iron rim?

Why would you not recommend using them? Simply because they are non-OEM, or because of the specific make?

    OD iron rim?

Well, I will take your advice. Let's think. Sense you are talking about my MV registered in NC, I will talk NC law. I can build my own car and title/register it in NC. It does NOT require to meet fed DOT requirements for titling. I have attached that section from the NC title manual. So...

    OD iron rim?

I believe his point is that MVs are not DOT approved. I would also assume that the stock wheels are also not DOT approved. :?:

No power, banging exhaust, lots of smoke... HELP!

Be sure to machine the heads flat before throwing another gasket at it. You can get the correct/new style head gasket through the right channels. Don't put the old style back on.

    Retro-fitting an Air Dryer...

Agreed. The AD-9 air dryer is industry standard. It's extremely simple to rebuild and the cartridge is about $40. The heater is available for 24 or 12 Volts. I have one that I rebuilt last fall to install on the Deuce. Just haven't had time to install it yet.

    Deuce

What sort of question is that? :| It was designed as a multifuel engine. It was contracted to the govt as a multifuel engine. It is, in fact, a multifuel engine.
