IIRC, In NC, an antique plate doesn't exempt you from anything like it does in other states.
You have to have a weighted plate of 14K (or more) if you are registering an M35 in NC (and be legal).
KI4GSN, don't forget that you can get a non-commercial Class B for 26K+.
I hate the DMV. Here is a link to the NC title manual.

The exceptions that I thought I remembered is limited. It looks like a Deuce will have to be reclassified as an RV to be...
They used to put the 3 axle warning on all NC registrations for some time. They stopped...
I asked about the fuel decal on here when they first starting doing that. No one knew.
I kinda gave up on researching those decals. I will give it another go.
I do seem to remember that whose...
Exactly. And then when your brakes warm up, that water boils and you loose your brakes completely. They designed DOT 3 to absorb water to help prevent these dangerous situations. DOT 3/4 is the way to go.
I don't know where you got China from. Here's a quote from their web site: "...state-of-the-art factories throughout North America and Europe for the manufacture of NewStar Components."
Many of the surplus dealers you and I buy from sell new star parts. They are well made. They have...
Those work great. I have seen one rotor pulled out a bus with about 1/4" of sludge/soot captured. Detroit Diesel 50 series...Dirty engine. I also use a Spinner II for my UMO filtering. Also works great for that. Good Luck!
This topic has been brought up a lot in the past.
It seems some feel that if you put anything more then a tea cup in the back, you would be better off with a 5 ton. If you feel that your brakes are weak, get off the road. Loaded or unloaded!
The truck is officially rated at 10K. You...
I believe his does remove the load off the flasher. The flasher controls the coil of the relay. The relay handles the load. Assuming this is the same setup as Bjorn did earlier. IMHO, it's another "must do" modification.
That's only 12,517.5 Lbs of water plus the weight of the tank. The Army under rated these trucks. And I'm sure they did that for people like me. Do you really think the stock winch is a 10,000 Lbs winch?
2cents The most I have hauled in the back of my truck was 7 tons. That's on road, up to 45 MPH. The truck was fine, but I wouldn't want to go much past the 7 ton mark on road. So, that would be about equivalent to 1700 Gal of water. Now at low speed and off road? Maybe a tad more?
